One of my players in our current campaign uses this as a part of their character's backstory. The character is a female Berserker from the North and has social issues when dealing with dwarves she encounters, because of her captivity. The 2 dwarves in their party make things even more spicy!

I don't currently play in Midgard, but with TOV coming, it is high on my list. Thinking of getting the Zobeck book this summer and running a few of those sessions.

I want to see more lore about the gods of midgard

I personally don't think this lore fits the Ironcrags dwarves. It definitely fits their northern brethren, but in my games I try to shape the Ironcrags after the "Dwarves" comics by Soleil. As a quick resume: the dwarven society has 4 official guilds/social paths that shape their society as much as their kings and nobles and it applies to all strongholds, regardless if they're monarchies, oligarchies, republics and so on. The Forge: blacksmiths, runesmiths, craftsmen, artisans. The Talion: merchants, bankers, trap makers, spies & assassins. They also control The Stone Bank and that gives them power over other dwarves and humanoid kingdoms. The Temple: architects, scientists, miners, priests, exorcists and fighters against the occult. The Shield: their main military force. Border guards, soldiers. The other Guilds also have their military forces, but are not as large and are far more specialized. The Talion has very skilled assassins that are raised from childhood together with very well equipped soldiers that take jobs as personal guards or as guards for strategic locations, usually privately owned. The Temple has paladins and clerics; enough said. The Forge has the most well equipped soldiers that are one man armies that support the Shields. Then there's a 5th unofficial Guild/life path represented by The Wanderers. They're dwarves stripped of all their family history and resources throwned into serfdom by their peers do to dishonorable acts. All their descendants are also born in the same class. They aren't allowed to own weapons, to live or own property in the dwarven keeps and they usually work as farmers and in animal husbandry. Do to this they've developed martial fighting styles that use day to day tools as weapons and hand to hand combat. They're basically monks. Oh, and they use hit and run tactics with the help of their war pigs. I guess the pig breeds dwarves raise for bacon proved good for warfare as well. Didn't read far enough to know if their repeated revolts have proven successful though. There's more to the setting, like wandering mercenary companies that use war bears as shock cavalry, but that's a different story.
