Zeppole Donuts are rolled in sugar with a melt-in-your-mouth center. These Italian donut holes are simple to make and always disappear fast.

INGREDIENTS FOR ZEPPOLE:
►1/2 cup water
►1/2 cup whole milk
►8 Tbsp unsalted butter
►1 tsp granulated sugar
►1/4 tsp salt
►1 cup all-purpose flour
►4 large eggs room temperature
►oil for frying such as peanut oil or vegetable oil

My Italian Grandma made these all the time and they're delicious!! I just checked her recipe and she added ricotta cheese to her batter. Now, I'm hungry for them!!

Thank you Natasha now I can make my favourite childhood ‘krofne’ at home! These are popular in the balkans as street vendors..they serve them in cartons and drizzle warm chocolate on top of the powdered sugar.. tastes amazing!!

This one's a keeper! One of my college jobs was working in a pizzeria. A quick trick. Fill a lunch bag about halfway with the Zeps.. Sprinkle a generous helping of powdered sugar or cinnamon. Fold top of bag and give them a few good shakes. It helps evenly coat the Zeps. Also, besides serving with powdered sugar. We would make trays and drizzle them with chocolate syrup and Tray's drizzled with salted caramel. We couldn't get them on the trays fast enough!

Zeppole are traditionally made for Father’s Day in Italy! I’ve usually seen them in a ring shape with cherries and cream but these are so cute! They remind me of sfince! Great job!

Nicely done Natasha! They look delicious and you made them look effortless. I grew up in Calabria Italy, my mom and Nonna made these by hand without a quick fryer at "Carnevale" also known as Mardi Gras, we called them Frittelle Di Carnevale. The recipe is of course the Zeppole recipe which is used for the now-famous Zeppole di San Giuseppe. St. Joseph Day - March 19th. Yes! That is exactly how they should be made. My grandmother made them just like that. She served them for Easter with powdered sugar and honey. Lots of sugar and lots of honey. I'm going to try making them for Easter this year - thank you! Did I say "lots of sugar and honey?" Lots! 👍

💖"Zeppole di San Giuseppe", a pastry, with divine touch 😇... Here, in Kerala on March 19, the dessert for saint's day is a "payasam" ~ പായസം: pudding made from milk, reduced by boiling to which sugar, and rice are progressively added. 🙏

Zepolle are usually traditionally made witha a yeast dough! This dough seems more like a churro batter. It does look yummy though!

Ever heard of Timbits from Tim Horton's? These are leftovers from the circular cut-outs from the donut rings, that's how you make use of the leftover dough or these zeppole donuts are principally the same thing. Tim Hortons is a Canadian institution for coffee and donuts. Once you have the chance again be it come border full opening or herd immunity, maybe give Canada a go for its pristine nature and the sights.

Oh my gosh.. this looks incredible.. 🤩I'm gonna make this tomorrow.. I got a hunger while watching this..I felt to make this now..but I'm a bit lazy😜.. I learnt to make many things from you.. My mom used to make fritters very similar to this, but if I remember correctly, she would sometimes put shredded apple in the dough. After frying we would put several in a paper bag at a time with powdered sugar and shake it up to coat the whole outside. They were so good. Thanks for this video and bringing back fond memories. 🙂

I make this from an very old recipe....i just use a small scoop plain jane pan...only i add a tea spoon of cinn. To the flour and soooo 😋

I love your recipes! I print and place them in a binder. This recipe will be yet another great addition!
