Pull out the dipstick when filling the engine, so the air can escape faster. Nice and useful cap though!

My reverse lights stopped working and discovered it was my switch in the gear shifter assembly. Got a new one but cant seem to get it set right when shifting to reverse. A short post would be a great help. Thanks

Ha! Caught a glimpse of the Easy Rider tribute bike in the background! I was just in the shop yesterday and saw that bike there behind this same car. Any chance you're going to post a viddy on making that bike?!?

Great idea .... nothing worse than having to clean the oil off the fins of the alloy rocker cover etc

If you guys do a lot of oil changes? Might want to consider an oil gun and a big reservoir/tank/barrel, it would be clean and it’s not like minis use all types of different oils, pretty much what you see a most major shops, keep up the great job

@$29.00 id pour the oil a little slower...haha

Why are you pouring with the can upside down? Oil cans are created so that you can pour from the top of the can, by turning it the other way around. This stops hydro-lock and gulping from the bottle end.

Don't think it's a new idea. Maybe new for the mini?

I work as an engineer in legal issues, tech transfer and IP. I used to think that any new idea could be patented in the beginnings of my career, but you have to prove that this wasn't something obvious to "someone who is in this field" and you can't really patent an arrangement of something that already exists (there are some rares exceptions to that). Now, about 50% of US patents do not abide by these simple rules. There was a toaster that was patented in the 1990s that was really just a regular toaster...

Costs quite a bit of $$$ to file for a patent. Even with one, there is little to prevent knock-offs appearing from overseas that undercut your price points....then it's up to you to chase them down with legal actions etc. It can go on for years and years while you lose market share to the knock-offs. Just doesn't make sense for low price-point/production number items.
