I use to smoke weed and cigarettes everyday, it messed up my mindset and I was so unmotivated, just finished high-school, got no girlfriend and I'm stuck. so one night when I was drunk lol I started doing like 300 situps beside my bed, my back was aching pain,my whole body was just in pain but I still kept going. Now Im on a strict diet and make ab workouts a morning routine for me. My mind just feels fresh and I have some thought of what I wanna do in my life. I could even tell that all my friends were just taking advantage of me, so I deleted Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram and only social media I go on is KZfaq I watch self improvement videos on how to be more mature and man the hell up. I'm thinking of joining the defence force later on in my life and going uni to do further studies at the same time.

I hate self-diagnosing myself, but I am sure I suffer from depression and anxiety... lack of confidence, self-worth and motivation... But, I have noticed that whenever I do exercise, it miraculously improves my mental health. I feel light and energetic, my mind feels fresh... but, I must confess I am not regular, and tend to fall back into the same abyss again and again. Hopefully, things will improve in future.

The problem is commiting to one thing we don't have the willpower to always excersize due to the dopamine stimulation that social media and other stuff provide us dopamine is good only if it's used on the right things that make you feel good rather than make you feel like s***.

Im by far a exercise expert but I been taking it serious for 5 years now age 17-22 currently, and throughout these years mainly in the beginning I was exercising everyday 5 times a week and I noticed that I was calmer and more in a peaceful state , I was optimistic and happier , I liked to challenge myself and grow as a human being . And I got lazy with working out when I finished school and from 18-21 I noticed that when I didn’t exercise I wasnt at my full optimal , efficent , peaceful minded self and now im 22 and doing better in life I definitely want to keep exercise in my life because it’s brought me so far in life physically and mentally . Now a thing most people forget when their constantly working their body is to also work the mind by reading and meditating . If you workout , read and meditate you will go alot further vs exercise alone.

I’ve had anxiety and depression since I was 8 years old (I am almost 19 now). I don’t exercise regularly at all, and during this pandemic, I’ve been staying at home in bed all day and feel like I don’t have any worth- in myself or to give to make a difference in this world. My therapist says exercise would be good for me and that’s why I’m checking out this vid. Honestly though, I’m having trouble figuring out what exercise I should do... it feels like I’m always dreading it so I avoid it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's best not to overthink which type of exercise is the perfect one. I'd say, pick literally any workout/exercise video on KZfaq (the ones where you can follow along with the instructor), and just simply do it. And do it at your own pace. Rest up, and do it again in a few days if you're no longer having soreness. The key is consistency. Don't think too much about the workout, and do it however you can, and keep at it! Hopefully, it'll help!

The best exercise routine is the one you can stick to. Try picking something that you would do for fun, instead of worrying about whether it's the best way to exercise or not. Maybe bike around your city, or hike some trails, or go swimming at the beach. You don't have to go straight for the 30 minute ab blaster videos on KZfaq.

Avery, Reach a state of equanimity where nothing disturbs you. For a relaxed life without anxiety sit on a chair, back and spine as erect as possible, hands on your lap with palms upwards, close your eyes and do nothing. Be still without moving and observe your incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 10-20 minutes. Be as still as possible. Plenty of thoughts will come but slowly negative thoughts will reduce. The mind is reprogrammed to reach equanimity. Do twice daily as per your convenience. Your breath and mind are directly related. Practice not over-reacting to any situation in real life and focus on your breathing at times during your normal daily activity. Enjoy the above meditation without expectations and your life will transform. Make it a daily habit. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

@@spartjovic I am not a medical professional, but I can offer my opinion. Exercise has many benefits when it comes to mental health, but it is not a cure-all. It is best when used alongside other therapeutic practices, such as #mindfulness. If you're unfamiliar with that term, just Google "mindfulness exercises." It's important to remember that there must be a balance between mind and body. It's easier said than done, I know. And don't discount therapy and medication. For some people it's a necessary evil. Take care of yourself. You've got this! And please check out my own KZfaq channel for mental health related content (this isn't my channel). 💚

Bro ur not alone its hard but its progress and the more you struggle the more you will learn about urself. So forget about that voice in ur head cause that is the devil talking. You need to take control for whats yours mate and stand up for yourself. I'm this fight too brother but trust me your mind will be so much at ease. Also focus on ur diet too that's the first step and its hard but you have to push yourself and the next thing you know it becomes automatic in you're head.

Have you considered trying something gentler like yoga? Yin yoga sounds like a good start since you hold each stretch for a while and that won't aggravate your lightheadedness. Since you focus on your breathing during those long stretches, it will also help increase your mental health. Hope this helps.
