Yeah, Rimuru is certainly a threat, hard to deny that. But he is a very rational and reasonable threat at least 😊 What I like is that Gazel and Elmesia both recognised that Rimuru is a threat. But unlike the other idiots they didn't automatically try to start a fight with him, but instead were smart enough to realize diplomacy is an option. Heck, even Blummond was super quick on realising that there was way more to gain by being friendly super early on.

And there are still people lurking around the Western Nations underestimating Rimuru and Tempest: it false info, it's unbelievable, others like Hinata are weaker than expected, etc. Those in this episode speaking of Rimuru as a threat are just thinking of their country, their king or empress, or just the other inhabitants of the world at large, especially humans. Someone has to speak the harsh truth. Knowledge is power. And what is international politics about but power? It's extremely realistic. All these countries have effective intelligence services, gathering information. Spoiler: And Rimuru does get seriously scary. It's reasonable to occasionally re-evaluation the threat level of another nation, even if friendly, and to keep all contingencies in mind. First it's a village, next thing it's a growing nation, then it becomes a trade center, then it's a verifiable superpower.
