Saw you the other day saying your brother isn't a watch guy because he has a Hamilton,. I'd say your not a watch guy as you bow at the feet of Rolex,. Any true watch guy wouldn't wear something that treats their customers so badly, but hey I only have a watch roll of Seiko's and a Hamilton oh yeah and a g shock but I'm not a watch guy

@@ChrisJones-ki2bx I’ve have never said he isn’t a watch guy “because” he has a Hamilton. I’ve said he isn’t particularly a watch guy but I helped him buy a Hamilton. I’m a watch guy and I own a Hamilton. Make videos on Hamilton’s and have another one coming up!

@@BarkandJack ok misunderstanding , just watch a lot of your content and don't see much content unless it's about Rolex or Tudor, which to me is missing so many other less expensive offerings from so many brands that you don't have to sell your dignity to own, you are in a privileged niche that can get a Rolex at list price without to much of a wait , I'm on a list for a ranger and have been for three months, which pisses me off as it's not like it's an amazingly rare one and is pretty basic apart from the movement and bracelet with the glide lock, going to give them two more months and will take myself off the list,. This was the first time I've ever had to wait for a watch and to be honest feel a bit discusseded that I've let them dictate what and when I can spend my cash on , hopefully they will have sorted the difference in colour between the hands and printed numerals or will get a BB pro. Looking forward to seeing your content and Hamilton as yes it's less than a grand but was my first Swiss watch after spending almost the same give or take a couple of hundred, but is more accurate than my king Sam and Antarctic monster, anyway sorry for being a bit of a dick ,

I wasn't patriotic about British watches until I was handed a Smiths Astral that belonged to my Grandad and I really liked it. I had a spare watch box to keep it in with the space for 4 watches, and those 3 vacant spaces really bothered me about 6 months later I decided to fill the space with other British watches, I got a 'Mr Jones Watch - The King' (Yes I will be wearing it on coronation), a few months later a Christopher Ward C5 mk3 Automatic and the last slot, some say the best till last, my Nephew had a Bronze Bremont Broadsword that he wanted rid of, he is strictly a 2 watch man, a G-Shock and a Statement watch, he upgraded to a Tudor Blackbay and he expressed his desire on selling on the Bremont last Christmas, I made a cheeky offer, cheeky being a triple figure number for which I thought many swearings and then laughter would ensue, but he accepted my offer (With a few free trips to the airport and a nice bottle of Scotch for Christmas). I feel I have a nice British watch collection.

Cracking episode. I've never liked the marketing bullshit that the Swiss are the only ones that can make a decent watch. The Swiss industry started as a cottage industry that managed to produce cheap knock-offs of more expensive and more well-made British and French watches. I really do hope that the French, British, and American watch industries get the renaissance they deserve. Therefore I really also like brands like Shapiro, Shinola, Farer, CWC, and Vertex. Even down to micro-brands like Lorier and Smiths: The diversity in undertakings is just really nice to see. In the Netherlands, we have Van der Gang, Van der Klaauw, Grönefeld and a couple of other brands that do noteworthy stuff, so someone is still holding Christaan Huygens legacy up. Think of the Nijntje watches of late, but also look at brands like Pellikaan with their Flying Dutchman watches, Ketelaars with his bespoke stuff and the people behind the resurrection of Airain. In Germany, arguably the country that invented the watch, there's folks like Sinn, Damasko and whatnot, but I really like standout independents like Nomos and Hentschel that make their own movements. And I haven't even started about Japan yet. This is why my watch box contains seven Japanese, one Italian, one British, six German, four French, and one lone Swiss watch. Regarding the British industry, William Shatner said it best when he said "Has been might again".

Cool "Collab"(?). IF a running seconds were to be added, perhaps it could be opposite the jump hour window and be at the 6. Maybe a small framed subdial that is same scale as the jump hour. Wouldn't need much detail as it would just be to see the watch is running. But, this works just fine as designed.
