Sam. I am in full agreement, the General Licence should be rewritten. Along the lines of "Shoot First" and if shooting is not a viable option. Then other forms of control should then be considered. Napalm, Drones with bird seeking missiles, The Avengers, Limited Nuke Strike.

Shot at a few pigeons just this afternoon with my son.We were hunting for turkey, but they were are on the wrong side of the fence, so we settled for pigeon. We tend to take stuff like that for granted in Canada.

Hanging dead crows should be appreciated. It doesn't look nice but hag them outside for 3 days and you don't see them in the area for more than a month.

the thing that concerns me is how do we stand shooting on stubble after the crop has been harvested . as you know the vast amount of pigeons and crows are shot after harvest .

No law will stop me from hunting and eating pigeon ,Canadian goose, rabbit, venison and anything else that takes my fancy!

If he is all for British birds I would love to know if he thinks all cats should be culled. Cats are the biggest killers of wild birds in Britain but packham would not dare upset these people as these are the same people who watch his fairy tale show about British wildlife. Shows like spring watch don't show what life is like in the real British working countryside. Packham should stick to making fictional programs for the BBC

SRS: I'd really like to get your take on the return of englishshooting. Even as a yank, I used to enjoy the englishshooting channel. It was largely a guy that was a shooting enthusiast like me. Where I think that I made the mistake was thinking that he was a firearm advocate for people that may enjoy the sport. Since then, the powers that be have taken what is considered a "privilege" to own a gun there. As it seems, he hasn't taken it well. He seems willing to join the side of those that would take what I consider to be your right in hopes that the same powers will take his apology if he is truly repentant. It really has been a sickening sight to see a guy reach these depths. He seems to willing to bend the knee, he'll bend both knees and so so as often as it takes. Is there a guy that lords over such things in your country? Should somebody should notify his wife of Callum? I ask your opinion because you seem to make no such deep throated apologies for being you. You're a sportsman, you come from that angle, but you haven't demeaned anybody that would enjoy firearms for a sport or reason other than your own. You're not what we call a "Fudd" here in the former colonies. Am I wrong? Why do I ask? Englishooting returned after being threatened to take his rights. They did it anyways. Englishshooting then posted a video pointing out the dishonesty of the media. I like that and it should be done. But wait.......... Amazingly, he was SHOCKED when the author of the lie didn't retract and apologize when he was exposed. Well.....duh....was there another outcome that was anticipated? Really? But holy shit..... it got so much worse for all of us. He then spent 1/3 of the video agreeing with the lying author, reinforcing the current pointless regulations and then..... advocating for more regulation. More.....more?...WTF. When I criticized him on his channel feedback, he scolded me as not seeing "the bigger picture".
