It seems that the UK is blighted by a clueless, vocal, highly urbanised group of vegan ideologues with a romanticised and anthropomorphic view of the world. With a population of over 60 million in a tiny area, it seems ludicrous that the UK has a “natural” countryside. It has been changed from the natural over thousands of years. Whilst the countryside is no doubt beautiful it is not in its’ original state. Therefore it seems reasonable that to maintain balance, human intervention is necessary. UK Vegans seem not to understand that their country is a long way short of self sufficient in food. Not culling pest bird species for example, will have a significant effect on plant food productivity. Further to this the small size of the UK and it’s climate means plant based food products can’t be produced all year round, unlike meat products. They seem to live in some kind of impractical fantasy land. The biggest example of their cognitive dissonance is their refusal to countenance sustainable products like leather and wool. Apparently the synthetic fibres that are product of the petro chemical industry are “eco friendly”. I kid you not. check out the PETA website for that.

I resent Packham having the influence to change the law as he appears to have done. Why should all sorts of businesses and individuals be deprived of their livelihoods by a jumped up, narcissistically motivated extremist and his unhinged supporters! I do like your channel Sam well done on the video. One thing (ONLY ONE THING!) I do agree with Packham on is that hunting isn't sport. I know you disagree and it's fair dos to you but to me, I don't consider hunting a game or sport as it involves killing an animal. To me hunting is it's own category. That aside I do think your right about the foxes. When they were hunted by hunting packs there numbers were better regulated. Now that it's been banned and people told they can shoot them without restriction, obviously they're being killed to often in too high a number. As for Packham and his statistics... if you watch the fieldsports youtube channel video about Packham in Malta, you can see that you can't really trust what he says as being the truth. The ones that do get away are dug out by terrier-men though. If they’re supposed to be following a trail, then surely that isn’t an effective way of controlling them...especially when you see how many Roy Lupton can take with a gun. I think you need to examine your reasons for enjoying this and ask yourself if this pleasure in challenge could be satisfied in a less cruel way. Take up clay pigeon shooting, archery , paintballing etc - all involve skill and competition, none involve animal suffering. As the apparently most intelligent and emotionally sophisticated species on the planet, we should be able to devise alternative entertainment. Should fox numbers need to be culled, this can be achieved in a controlled and more humane manner.

the majority of football is not a sport because it is a profession ,he also never takes into account the fact humans have taken over more than 34%of the foxes territory so the will possibly be a decline in numbers (something of which I totally disagree with as we see more foxes now than we ever used to , because they have learned to live on our waste in the cities etc ) he does not take into account the fact foxes take young lambs as well as other small livestock to the detriment of the farming community and the normal housewives pocket ! also how does he explain his association with the zoo on the I O W , which is eco unfriendly (and apparently very badly run and kept) he is more 2 faced than all the politicians put together , A while back when I was keeping over in Suffolk , the RSBP at Minsmere reserve used us to help clear canada geese from the marsh because they were trampling the nesting habitat for migrant bird species ! this probably happens at other places too although I cannot say for sure .It was not only canadas doing the damage , other species of geese were there also

My parents moved us out of London to very rural Norfolk when I was ten. From then until I went through Birmingham when I was 18 to join the army, I never saw a fox or badger in the wild. Going through Brum on a train to the army selection centre I saw bloody loads of foxes. Now I'm nearly 60 and back in Norfolk and I can almost guarantee to see a fox crossing the road whilst I'm driving at night perhaps two out of five times. I've yet to see a live badger but they seem to be quite shite at crossing roads and I see them dead. I've shot foxes around my mates chickens,ducks and lambs. The point is that off my mates farm, I'm seeing a lot of foxes when I'm not even looking for the buggers.So therefore there must be bloody thousands of them!!!!

Wood pigeon, crows and magpies have increased exponentially in the last 40 years. You could never hope to make them extinct by trapping and shooting.They should not be protected at all, but he wants his followers to embrace these birds purely to further his persecution of a minority who take part in controlling them, not only for that dirty word sport, but the satisfaction that reducing their numbers is actually beneficial for the countryside
