What happened? -Both Iroh and Ozai were raised by the same abusive father, Azulon: Azulon favoured Iroh and mistreated Ozai....although Iroh was being abused, just in a different kind of way: Azulon, by abusing Ozai, he was telling Iroh: "This is what it's going to happen to you if you dissapoint me." -Ozai allowed his obsession with being acknowledged by his father to corrupt and poison his mind. Ozai is also younger and physically better,Irohs only shot would be to redirect lightning at him and its possible he wouldnt try firing lightning at Iroh like he did with Zuko and Aang Ozai is also a master manipulator and even if he was weaker he would use Irohs emotions and their childhood memories against him,Ozai is also acedemically smarter. Iroh is very very powerful,ridiculously knowledgable&wise and very skilled in martial arts but he cant beat Ozai unless he gets lucky
