What’s happening in this “The Equalizer 2” movie clip?
Robert McCall (Denzel Washington from Training Day and American Gangster) is on the phone with Miles. He tells him to go to the bedroom because there is a library there. Then he asks him to find a specific book and press the button behind it. A door opens. McCall tells him to hide in it. Meanwhile, Dave (Pedro Pascal from Game of Thrones) and his men are entering McCall's apartment.
From his car and thanks to the cameras in his home, McCall can see everything that is going on.
Dave walks over to the library. McCall tells Miles to hide in the alcove. But Miles is claustrophobic and cannot breathe.

Why would he even know about these special digits, he's not supposed to be in on this plan. Lol And he already had dude's cell number, they were bros at one time. If it can be smashed, it can also be shot through from inside the mirror. He wouldn't want to hide from intruders, he'd want to be able to neutralize them and bursting/shooting through a mirror which gives you perfect visibility is a great surprise attack

What I like about this scene is it gives us another glimpse into McCall's past without telling us verbally. Its done through imagery - 1:05 the USMC dress blues, packed with ribbons and the Gunnery Sergeant insignia visible. Earlier in the film when Dave is in a briefing room talking to McCall on the phone about Susan, you see the logo of the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) - so we know he was a DIA operator in his past after the Marines. These little snippets, and given we have seen what McCall can do, we know he's extremely dangerous and capable but its never really said verbally. Its always shown. If it were a novel you could say its doing "Show, don't tell" which is the golden rule of good writing!! And every time the question is put to McCall, both in the first film by Teddy before his death, and even at the end of number 2 by the Kid - "Who are you?"......McCall never answers. So he doesn't TELL us. He SHOWS us through his actions. That's what I think anyway haha :)

For those whos wondering why he make an emoji and pointing the gun. He figured it out that it's a panic room. He flashlighted the mirror (light reflection) and gives it an exhale (heat reaction) which helps him to differentiate two-way mirror because it doesn't operates the same reaction like a real mirror. He's a trained special agent, ofc he can distinguish a real mirror with two-way mirror. He tries to shoot into the mirror incase there is someone in there. Also, the most unreal part of this is the phone is not in silent mode especially for him hunting down one of the most dangerous man walking the Earth.

Not that anyone cares, but if you put your finger against a mirror, and you see a gap between your finger and the reflection, it's usually a genuine mirror. If your finger is touching the reflection, it could mean it's a two way mirror.

You can find any number of stories of people renting rooms in motels, or houses, or various places where they found two way mirrors. This is a good way to check if women aren't sure and have a bad feeling about something.

I don't care what people say about the kid having not been exposed to that amount of stress or any of that. Anyone with common sense, period, would know to shut up and be quiet. He'd be the first to die in a crisis situation due to lack of common sense. He knew what he went into and how he got in. Also that nobody else would see it. He knew that he put the book back, too. At that age, he should be able to put 2 and 2 together. If not, well...sucks to be him.

Is it just me but did anyone else notice at 4:30 looking at his medal rank on his Marine Corps jacket that he has a Navy Cross, Silver Star but no Combat Action Ribbon, someone goof big time putting this together plus it is out of order.
