It's a sick state of affairs when companies are comfortable charging over double the price of a completely finished game for content in a BETA phase game. JFC, when will the gaming community collectively decide they don't like being bent over anymore and stop supporting this ludicrous BS? I've never played Tarkov, and after watching this video, I wouldn't even if the CEO personally fully refunded every supporter of this game.

Short term gains for an eternity of disinterest in the product. Until this point, my understanding was that Tarkov was a beloved game whose design was unique and against the grain. Now, there's no way I'm ever going to play that game.

tarkov is infested with cheaters, there aren't even words that can describe how bad the situation is. a ton of legit players stopped playing because of this. so you shouldn't have played it anyways.

I had 4k hours before I quit, While the game itself is probably one of the best of all time and one of the most addicting, battlestate is one of the worst game companies ever and the cheating is beyond horrendous. Some wipes are better than others but overall the cheating is just absolutely ridiculous. Fortunately for the first 500-1000 hours you won’t know enough about the game to know how bad the cheating is but after you start getting really good and have a solid grasp of the game things become very fishy on the most profitable and most played maps and servers you begin to realize just how bad it really is. Plenty of people will tell you that it isn’t that bad. They are either disingenuous, new or completely ignorant. You think it’s bad just playing normal then you realize how absolutely atrocious it really is if you watch someone cheat or cheat yourself. Tldr: Don’t waste your time

tarkov has always been scummy. When it first started selling preorders for an unfinished game 8 years ago, you had to spend over $100 for "guaranteed" access to the alpha. If you only spent $80 on preordering this game you only had a 50% chance of getting into the alpha.

I actually left WoW to play Tarkov back in 2020, bought the standard edition hopped into a raid, and was hooked. Played on Standard edition for years before I upgraded to EoD (edge of darkness) only because it would have gave me access to future DLC, this was just before they removed it from the store. The thing is that upgrading to EoD actually killed a bit of the game for me, as you are given a few extra things that the standard edition does not get. Tarkov is a weird game where the struggle makes the game, and when I was given extra stuff it made the game a bit easier, especially at the start of a wipe. The fact that they went back to change information to cover their tracks, left a bad taste in my mouth and I decided that I wouldn't support that sort of behavior, and finally I can say that I actually managed to Escape from Tarkov. Such a shame as the game had so much potential.

The game looks very interesting. I know in the beginning it had peak hype around it and I missed it, but I'm holding out hope that when the game releases, it will be decent. For now, I won't be throwing my money at them.

So what part of season pass don't you understand? I bought EOD and it was clear as day to me that it wouldn't be all future content. Honestly man, illiteracy is rampant these days. Everything you read in Tarkov is translated. Saying subsequent dlc is included references a sequence. Which has and end. And they had (Season Pass) added to the end of that line of text. That's a quantified for the sequence. It's honestly really simple, if you believed EOD included all future content the only conclusion I can reach is that you're not very proficient with English. And the content creators hyping this up for views should be ashamed of themselves.

@@sujimayne I don't remember that personally, what I remember is debating the exact meaning of the line that described future content, and to me it was fairly clear that "subsequent" references a "sequence" and that "season pass" quantified that and gave that sequence a clear end point. It's honestly just basic English. I personally never expected to get all future content, and everything else aside-- it would be nice if a SINGLE ONE OF THESE CONTENT CREATORS MILKING THIS DRAMA WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE IT. They're acting like it just doesn't say what it actually said. We're heading to Idiocracy real fast man. We're getting to the point now with this, with hundreds of thousands of people screeching about this, harming the company, all over them being genuinely illiterate. That's sad. I love BSG. They went a bit too far with the 60meter Scavs not shooting you and the crap that can bring people into a Raid-- but the whole "all future DLC" thing is genuinely retarded. The fact that so many people are angry at BSG because they as individuals couldn't read? That's sad.

Wow I just read that update they made for us OG EOD players and saw we get a whole 6 months access to the pve mode. I don't even care about the gamma container or want any advantage of any kind. I've been wanting an single player or offline version since 2017. I'm just blown away by how they are literally telling me F you for supporting the game. Give us 250 more dollars on top of the 150 you already spent as they re word what was promised from the get go. That's just wild and unbelievable business practice.

The big problem they’re going to have is trust. I got EoD many years ago. They promised all DLC when I did it and I chose to support them because I believed in them. Now we get stabbed in the back and gaslit. They may have stepped back and changed their decision but they couldn’t even admit they messed up. More gaslighting about DLC. I don’t think there’s ever a future where I can trust they won’t do this again. They clearly believe, or at least pretend to believe, it’s not DLC. Don’t give them another dime. They altered the deal.

blizzard did the same thing. "no boost or tokens in classic" - "HEY here is a lvl boost and our token, you are welcome" and people bought the lvl boost and the tokens. because of betas buying their stuff, it works. you get what you allow.

There is a multiplayer coop mod for Tarkov. Bit of a pain to set up but well worth it. Then there is STALKER GAMMA. Superior to Tarkov in every way I can imagine. Also free. Also very easy to set up.

Whether you are against or for what Battlestate has done, you need to understand one thing, if you buy the Unheard of version, you are enabling them to do this, to make "empty" and false promises, just to later on take them away or remove what you have paid for. To anyone who defends Battlestate for doing this, just remember, the version you just bought as "the best final version you can buy", they will make a version higher, and you will lose what you paid for, continuing the cycle.

There has been another update with Nikita caving even more. EOD is getting PVE mode NOW in "waves" immediately. Some already got it and it will be permanent. It's not going away in 6 months. We are getting some other unique cosmetic items in game as well as they try to make us happy. This is still unfolding day by day and Nikita seems to be giving into our demands more and more so I understand why it didn't make into the video. I have 6.5k hours in tarkov and my heart and trust is shattered.

I am so lucky in 2016 i saw they were selling "preorders" to this game. If you pay for the $70 "preorder" you get a 25% chance to get in the alpha. If you spend $90 you get a 50% chance to play the alpha.

I play DayZ since the early Alpha and i am so glad that the Defs never pulled that shit on us. It was a rough ride, but the game is in the best state ever
