Yes. This trailer with these actors reminds me in a good way of the chemistry between Ralph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett in the seriously underrated "Oscar and Lucinda". Fiennes played a tempted pastor in that movie also.

@@laviniasnow4494 You're welcome. :) One of my personal favorites, from 1997, just before both Fiennes and Blanchett hit it big. The acting, music, and visuals are exquisite. I had to read the book afterwards to fully understand it.

Tom Hiddleston deserves an Emmy and an Oscar.

It is a limited series on Apple TV+ so it would be an Emmy. The Emmy nominations for Best Actor in a Limited Series would be tough -- Colin Firth has his limited series on Showtime..

TV and streaming shows are not eligible for Oscars which are only for movies.

I’m in the middle of the book now and rushing to finish it now lol. But it’s pretty good, there were some parts that were a little confusing, but other than that it’s a pretty good book

@@salimzighe1745 It's a very disappointing ending to be honest. The intro to the novel sets the whole thing up as a gothic style mystery, after that it rambles on for four hundred pages of people talking about religion and science but nothing exciting happens. It's very well written but the ending is such a massive disappointment- it just fizzles out with no resolution. Read it if you like beautiful writing but aren't bothered about a total lack of plot.

I think Tom Hiddleston is too refined for Bond who is supposed to be very macho, like Connery/Moore/Craig etc ….Hiddleston is great, but he can’t do machismo. No way.

@@ns2110theonly He could pull off a Bond like Brosnan, but more importantly, he'd make the role his own, the way every Bond does. No person would be effective in the role if they're just copying a predecessor..

@@zoyadulzura7490 It has nothing to do with copying or acting. Of course everyone puts their own spin on Bond. In terms of acting character looks charisma etc. course that goes without saying. But they’ve all got one thing in common they are macho alpha males. Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor and I love him to pieces. I followed him before most of his fans were even born. But you cannot make a beta male an alpha male. That’s just not physically possible. And that’s because that’s how bond is written. Whether it’s Brosnan Sean Connery or whomever, they all make it there own for sure, but they’re all *very* much Alpha males. God love Tom but he will never be that.
