The Everglades National Park in One Day: What We Did!

Hi Travel Friends! Here's our one day in The Everglades National Park! We were bummed the Shark Valley Visitor Center area was closed due to flooding, but that just means we have to come back and try it next time! We spent most of our day in the southern section of the park.

Hey Steph and Nate! That's cool you guys checked out the Everglades! What a great tour of this place. The Flamingo park was cool too! We don't know how we feel about crocodiles, but loved seeing all the wildlife and beautiful nature around you. Thanks for taking us with you!! 😊💖

Great and very informative presentation of the awesome Everglades. I love the wooden trails which are ideal for observing wildlife. Tha canoe tour is a challenge, though. 😉 I love your travel videos, my friends. Have a great week.👏👍

We did the park after our first Caribbean cruise.I remember running from the car to the visitor center because the mosquitoes were so bad, also rained harder than I've ever seen.😀

oh man wow! mosquitoes weren't too bad when we visited! i had maybe 2 mosquito bites after the entire day! this is a great park to visit after a cruise since it is so close to Miami and FLL!

haha thanks it was a great place to visit! it seems like American crocodiles are way more shy and less aggressive than crocodiles on other continents :)

Nice video👍. Brings back memories of our 2015 Florida trip to the Everglades. Unlike you, the wildlife was quite "MIA" during our visit, except for the baby alligator we spotted😆. Have a great weekend!

aw man! was it colder when you visited? it was upper 70s Fahrenheit when we went in December and we saw a ton of wildlife!

@@TravelSzN We were there in June and it was quite hot and stormy. It was the middle of the day too, so that may have been why. Being Aussies we were having a bit of friendly banter with the guide on the hovercraft regarding the size of the alligator we saw (the baby one) vs our common 6m (18ft) crocodiles🤣. He was a good sport too as there were no large alligators in sight at all that day to show us🙂

Steph....Welcome to jungle land on the Gulf!! The Glades are quite a place especially the Gator Trail. Too bad you didn't have time to run the Gulf because it's quite a haul to Coot Bay....If you've got a boat there's nothing else like it in the world!!

Wonderful Everglades National Park! Nice capture of the local bird drying his wings. I wouldn't be brave enough to kayak among alligators and some crocodiles. I believe crocs aren't native to North America? Spotting an alligator on the walkway would give me willies too. Well done, my friend 👍. Big like and full play. I had to look up more info about the crocodiles to answer your question- it looks like american crocodiles are native to southern Florida, and their range extends down into the Caribbean. Here is a nice article about them: www.nps.gov/ever/learn/nature/crocodile.htm#:~:text=Crocodiles%20and%20alligators%20belong%20to,both%20of%20these%20species%20coexist.

I was hoping to go to the Everglades but super scared I would fall in and the gator gets me. I really like how you edit your video. New sub here. This looked so fun and have to take the family here. Those trail scare me because I don't want to run into a giant dinosaur.

the alligators mostly just lay around in the sun all day and don't care about the people. As long as you stay on the hiking trails and don't bother them they shouldn't bother you. They are really cool to see up close. thanks for watching!

You can see manatees any time of year, but it is more common to see them from November to March! We are hoping to go see manatees this coming weekend in a spring north of Tampa!
