I don't think so. They have some similar personality traits, but they are totally different people. I think Dead wouldn't get along with Kurt if the two had met in real life, and the feeling would probably be reciprocated on Kurt's part.

And he most likely got it from Subdural Bleeding, when he was being bullied at one point; he was always known to be depressed, even an old band mate from Mayhem disliked dead at first because he was so depressed and hated life.
