Wasn't the General Powers Boothe who was the American pilot who helped The Wolverines in the original Red Dawn? He was in another really good movie with C Thomas Howell about a father who infiltrated a neo Nazi group in search of his daughter. She was dating CTH's character and then disappeared when she went on vacation with him to Montana or something like that. It was a really good but crazy movie. Interestingly enough, CTH played a guy who posed as a black dude who got a scholarship to Harvard Law School and dated Rae Dawn Chong, Tommy Chong's daughter. And She played in a movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ho-wood is almost incestuous. Anyway, Powers Boothe also played Revered Jim Jones in a docudrama about The People's Temple cult. Very good

"We are the shadows and the smoke, we rise. We are the ghosts that hide in the night." Fun Fact: Steven Seagal was asked to play a cameo but turned it down due to negative connections with producer Avi Lerner. Authentic Battle Damage Fact: Sylvester Stallone sustained fourteen injuries making this movie, including breaking a tooth, rupturing his ankle, and getting a hairline fracture in his neck that required the surgical insertion of a metal plate. He also had bronchitis and shingles during the shoot. When Worlds Collide Fact: Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger) says that Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) should give the job to Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) in an obvious reference to the Rambo franchise. The historic scene featured these legendary actors together for the first time ever. Motorcycle Enthusiast Fact: The motorcycle that Jason Statham's character Lee Christmas is riding is the Italian made street legal MotoGP race inspired Ducati Desmosedici RR. This sport-bike carries a price tag of $75,000 has a top speed of +190 mph (305 km/h). This 989cc 4 cylinder produces 200hp while only weighing 377 pounds (171 kg). Of the only 1,500 made 500 made it to the U.S. and they all sold out within five hours. Jason Statham liked the motorcycle he rode in the film so much, he bought one in real life.

16:39 Stallone added this scene while they were already filming the movie. He had no idea that someone could go into that part of the plane until he saw someone do it while on location. So, he came up with the idea and then had to convince the studio/finances that they could add the explosions to the budget. This is also one of the scenes that Austin insisted on using a stunt double for. No that he couldn't jump into the water, but he saw how disgusting the water was around the dock and knew he didn't want to jump in it. At first they wouldn't do it, but then he showed Eric Roberts (Best of the Best) the water and he said he wouldn't jump in either. So, they allowed the stunt doubles to make the jump instead.

Sly's truck is a 1955 Ford F-100... I know it's a badass truck. My pops had a brown one years ago before he passed.

The soldiers who got out of the truck near the beginning are led by UFC Hall of Famer Noguira, (big Nog) and a bunch of MMA fighters from his gym in Brazil. The vast of the movie went to that gym & the fighters put on real MMA fights for the cast. I used to train with both Little & Big Nog, and have trained at Extreme Couture (Randy’s gym).

I am glad you brought up Sicario because you need to watch the second one even if it is for the single reason of Benecio Del Toro's performance

What up EOM. You've finally entered an action movie lover's dream come true in the making since the 1990s. One of the hardest films that Stallone has ever made as an action star and filmmaker. Right after Rocky Balboa (2006) and Rambo 4 (2008). Co-written and created by David Callaham:Godzilla (2014), Ant-Man (2015), Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings (2021), Spider-Man:Across The Spider Verse (2023). The cast, chemistry, filmmaking and action sequences are superb. So many homages to the action genre. If you can spot them out, you know what they mean. Part 2 and 3 are hot stuff. If you watching them all, strap in for a ride. But watch out for the debris and shrapnel.

That automatic shotgun is in a couple of video games. I got one with a 27-shell drum last night in Back 4 Blood! Tears a crowd of zombies up like hellfire!

The infamous West Coast Customs built Stallones truck for the movie and if I’m not mistaken is actually owned by Sly. It is a 1955 Ford F-100 which happens to be one of my dream vehicles.
