So this was something I came across recently, now obviously these two drivers being Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen could possibly just be saying that just to get the FIA to do something, or a larger paycheck nest year. But in all honesty though, the F1 2024 Calendar looks very concerning for the Personnel and everyone that is in the F1 community. Its cool for us to have 24 races this year but its also going to be a hassle for those who are participating in making the races work. Its pretty concerning for all the Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes and every other team's staff and I hope they can all pull through with the demanding schedule.
Fyi, Lewis Hamilton didnt threaten to retire and neither did Charles Leclerc.

@marcstafanov8431 I agree but I think that the tracks that should get removed are Baku, Vegas and Jeddah instead of Qatar and Miami, make cars a bit smaller and a but faster and get actual, proper and fair racing.

@@Md915 yea i personally dont like Miami that much (and yes i like jeddah the 2021 and 2022 race was pretty entetaining) but i defenitely agree with Baku also appreciate the reply mate Edit: your right maybe in the 2026 Regulations we could actually get closer racing not only in miami also in any other tracks on the calender

@@marcstafanov8431 no worries, yeah it's a bit tough to say what tracks give good racing and what tracks don't deliver on that. One thing I did not mention for obvious reasons is to "bring old tracks back", since F1 can't say "we're racing back again at Malaysia" without money being involved I did not bother on mentioning that, but like, those are the tracks that most F1 fans don't identify F1 with. For example, I identify F1 with tracks such as Spa, Silverstone, Monaco, Monza, Spain, Canada, Imola, Austria, Australia, Brazil etc, not only because I like them, but because I truly identify the sport with them. If we can have good tracks, good marshalls and good FIA regulations we can have good racing. Thanks for replying back and reading mate. Have a good one

I think he told Christian already that he’s gone after ‘28 when his contract ends. Hence the work on letting Lando know they’re interested in him. Because they’re gonna need a talented driver that fits the RB attitude.

I really hope the calendar gets fixed next year because I really don’t want to see drivers that are icons of the sport retire like Alonso, Hamilton, Verstappen, etc.

I think a huge thing is to group the races to a region and add gaps between time zone shifts.

What if they could add additional drivers? Say just for sprints. Most likely new and aspiring drivers just out of the F2 that would, basically have their own championship (in big boys cars), that would also add up to the general constructor's cup.

The growing calendar is a problem for the drivers and teams due to fatigue, but even from an entertainment point of view a huge calendar is also a problem. Too many races means that each one carries less weight and you don't look forward to it as much. An F1 youtuber called Aiden Millward, a guy in his 30s who watched F1 in the 1990s, said in a video that the 4-week wait for the 1998 title decider added to the anticipation for the race.

I thought 19-20 races were too much. The amount of F1 races nowadays is terrible for drivers and teams. Just mentally and physically exhausting. I don’t blame anyone if they leave F1.

Hope your channel takes off because you deserve it 💙 About Fernando retiring: He said not long ago that his aims are the Dakar as he see it as the ultimate challenge. Being from Spain and following Spanish media I think he might retire either this year or next one unless AM give him a real shot for the championship. Also new calendar suuuuucks big time

The funny thing about this provisional calendar is that it seems that whoever was in charge of it doesn't know that F1 races usually take place on a Sunday. So yeah, season will start in March, not in Feb.

they should do a two-year championship season rather than have 20+ races in one year. they’ll be more races (~30) but there will be longer times in between each race allowing for all personnel working with F1 to have an easier load especially with fly away races.

Itll criple all the other variables around rhe sport. Kill the dreams of all kids and already established drivers racing currently to reach f1 and win races nvm 1championship with the current setup of sustained successes by 1 or two teams.nvm the logistics problems, the regs for 2years,the development pipelines for a two year championship season.reliability,tyre issues,other unknowns.

I can tell you this but nascar and Indy car run a lot more races with a lot less races the only difference is travel but that could be limited by more of the schedule being closer together. I’m on the side of each country only getting one to two races but moneyyyy

4 months late (but I got to see how much your videos have evolved since this one) but I think that in the long term the F1 calendar would be better if there were no more than 20 races a year, leaving the European GPs that take place on racetracks (and Monaco, as boring as that may be) permanent, while the GPs that take place on street circuits, those of America, Asia and the Middle East should rotate from year to year, in order to make each season varied and therefore the teams' strategies would also be more varied. Also, REMOVE SPRINT RACES FFS

24 races is just to much you have 5 drivers born before 1990. And age over 34 and you expect them to train for a race once a day between th 14th February - 8th December and then lose 4 kgs of weight during a normal 2 race and then practise and qualifying, having a crash at least 2 crashes during a season and probably 15Gs.

It's simple for drivers who are not going to be driver's title contender. Race for 18-20 or 21 races and step out to make way for reserve drivers. This way they get a taste of real F1 race and not just a practice session at some point in the year. May be this is what FIA is looking forward to.

I don't feel bad about this at all. They didn't have the ability to do it before now its possible for more races. These people are being paid lots. They are now earning their money. If they want to retire that is up to them, there are many who will happily take their places. Maybe this will actually make it better for young drivers and staff to get into the sport since the older drivers won't be able to keep up with the pace.

Honestly I'd just cut all the Middle Eastern races except maybe Bahrain but I wouldn't shed a tear for that one either. Yes I know money but I personally don't think F1 should be about money, at least not this much, it feels way too corporate now. We also don't need more than 1 race in the US and that should either be at COTA, Indy road, or potentially something like Road America or Watkins Glen if they were to become Grade 1 tracks.

The schedule will always be an issue. If you think of the "environment" and drivers by cutting back travel by grouping race, don't forget there are certain places who don't care. *cough* arab region and 'murica *cough* Oil providers and "freedom" fighters. As the popularity grows again the more places want a race(s). Right now, F1 is stuck between tradition and growth to audiences they have either tried to (Stars and Stripes) or places who want to (please come and see our amusement parks and purdy buildings before our oil supplies are drained and we realise we live in a sandpit and nothing else).

I think that cheating advantage that's lasted for Redbull is still going to go for years will be a problem because they started cheating since 21 and that's where is the only time they could start beating that Hamilton guy and people are all sussing out Redbull had to cheat or it would still be that bloody black fella still winning championships if Redbull hadn't had cheated luckily

I think the main problem in F1 is mainly that bloody black fella Hamilton for hes always been too good at races and makes viewing look disturbing for him being the sole only black guy who beats everyone and anyone if he has an competive car and has too many wins and records and championships that they even took away one at that messed up adu dhabi race where that new nobody boy drove a rubbish race but was after declared the human error champion.
