When you’re so used to having a child almost every year, how hard is it to stop? Having babies can take a big toll on you physically and mentally and, for these supersize families, that toll has been multiplying constantly.
On this episode we see what it’s like for the parents of these supersize families to recover from or keep going with the baby train, and how they manage to cope.
In Sunderland, mum of 11 Amanda Allan is losing weight and enjoying getting her life back on track so much she wonders if enough is enough. But her husband Tony - mechanic and pigeon breeder - wants even more. Will Tony be able to sway Amanda with his cheeky charm or will the soon-to-be grandparents be dissuaded by the constant reminders from their embarrassed 15 year old daughter.
Meanwhile in Dundee, Mormons Roy and Emma Hann are both keen to expand their 12 strong brood. But with 43 year old Emma still breastfeeding 19 month old Posy several times each night she’s exhausted and it’s taking her longer than usual to conceive. Nurse Roy is also away several nights of the week for his job so this adds to the already growing pile of obstacles they are trying to overcome. With finances stretched, energy levels flagging and time running out will she have to concede that enough is finally enough?

It's easy for them to have babies because the older children are the ones that end up raising the younger ones.

Notice it’s only the older ones that are complaining about the parents having more kids. It’s always hard for the older ones. I only have one sibling and I pretty much am with her 24/7

This is so messed up. There is no way they can give each kid equal emotional support they need and the elder siblings have to take care of their younger siblings. It's literally child abuse.

Im all for big family's, if the parents can keep their control...but it seems like the Hanns have lost control. They need to figure out how to control their two boys before having anymore. Because theres no way Enos should be able to spit in his dad's face and not get punished...

Omg Hanns family kids are VERY disrespectful!! Spitting in the face and kicking is out of control. Smh. Mom and dad need to work on discipline instead of more kids. Geeez!

Oh sure, have a dozen kids it's all cool. Have a dozen cats and suddenly you're crazy.

Those kids don't get anywhere near the individual attention they need. People I know who can from big families all say the same. The older ones had to look after the younger ones and the parents were always too busy or had no time to spend time with each child.
