When Brian (Paul Walker) saves Vince (Matt Schulze) from the semi, his identity as a cop is revealed.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A magazine article about real-life car racing gangs for Vibe becomes this fast-paced automotive thriller from director Rob Cohen. Paul Walker stars as Brian O'Conner, a youthful FBI agent investigating a series of hijackings by going undercover with a street gang led by charismatic Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). Caught up in Toretto's world of gang conflict that is resolved in late-night car races, Spindler starts to sympathize with his chief suspect and falls in love with Toretto's younger sister Mia (Jordana Brewster). In the meantime, Spindler initially suspects the wrong gang of complicity in the crimes he's probing, while Toretto remains involved in a forbidden romance, à la Romeo and Juliet, with his girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). The Fast and the Furious co-stars Ted Levine, Rick Yune, and Matt Schulze.

Most likely why Dom doesn't just shoot Brian when he turns up at the house after Dom decides to hunt down Tran. That and being a good driver, saving Dom from being arrested, being good to the team, helping them out AND saving Vince. Dom had the same feelings for Brian even after admitting to being a cop. He switches immediately from exploding rage "YOU *ARE* THE COP! YOU'RE *A COP*!" to saying that he needs to find Jesse before Tran does because that's what matters to him and trusts Brian enough to tell him that. TL;DR - I think Dom already admired Brian and was EXTREMELY conflicted in this scene, that's why he initially backed up when Brian was calling in the chopper but went straight back to giving Vince medical attention

It took Brian and Mia like 15 seconds to line up the car to make the jump if this scene happened in F9 they would have done it in 0.5 seconds while driving 120mph going down hill while dodging missiles and the truck would also be on fire

I live in the city this scene was filmed in, this was filmed on Domenegoni Road, a backroad to Hemet CA. When brian died racers flocked to that road. I always remember this when I drive that stretch.
