I started eating low carb about 10-11 years ago (after reading the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson). My sister, who is a biology major, told me that I would die of a heart attack because I was eating fats. It’s SO reassuring having Dr. J’s lectures telling me I have been on the right track all this time! Love watching these videos!

Dr. P. Jamnadas. I follow every lectures n videos n listen to it everyday . In your The Fat Lies Lecture is an eye opener. I've had RA since childhood. But the games in school n college out in the sun on the field kept it under control till 1986 . Then i was working from an AC office for at least 10 to 12 hours in a day n food was carbs etcs. . I hardly saw the sunlight . Had a child in 1986 too , n the RA picked up it's head. In 2003 i suffered knees n wrist pain even touching the skin was painful n rushed to hospital. N then the methotrexate injections till 2010 with a break in between . Was bedridden for 6 months 2005 n literally learnt to walk again. Inspite of wrist n knee surgeries , everyday i woke up with pain in every part of body . One fine day i decided to stop methotrexate. I started homeopathic medicine n changed my diet NO sugar ,NO dairy products, NO wheat , NO refined wheat produce . NO CARBS n NO polysaturated fats In these last 2 years , need to thank the lockdown being alone, so i could do fasting n think better what's good for me . This brought the inflammation down . With vegetables ,a few fruits like oranges n pomogranate, different kinds of millets . When you mention the different kinds of oils you mention. I use cold press organic peanut oil. N home made ghee, clarified butter. Should I stop the peanut oil . Could i buy mustard or coconut oil. For the last 2 years 2020 2022 , i follow the 8 n 16 hours fasting n the inflammation is under control . Now thinking of once a week 36 hours of fasting. N every 6 months i do my RA n its showing the levels going down . Thank you Dr. for your advice

Through Dr. Jamnadas’ guidance, I became enlightened on the tremendous benefits of intermittent fasting (18/6 - 2 meals a day) and eliminated all sugars, breads/rice/wheat flours/pasta/cereals from my diet, in just 3 months time, I was able to reduce my HgbA1c from 6.7 to 5.7, lose 30 pounds (160 to 130). Reduce my triglycerides 60% (47 absolute value), raise HDL to 58 and lower my LDL to 123. These reductions coincide very closely with the data shown in the trial slides. All this accomplished with no medications.

After listening to one of his lectures I threw out a ton of stuff in my kitchen today, have been intermittent fasting for a few weeks now and have had no cravings or hunger between eating. In fact, for the first time in my life, I ate half of what was on my plate because I felt fully satisfied. I won’t give up bananas and brown rice pasta yet, lol, but we shall see. He’s brilliant. As a compulsive overeater I appreciated that he recommended a recovery support group because OA got me off white and brown sugar and corn syrup for years. And OA and the Big Book gave me the wisdom to understand and accept my disorder. That keeps me aware of my compulsive nature. But I still need a nutritional tune-up periodically and his teaching is superb.

Isn't it amazing. For 6 months I was eating what the 'nutritional experts' would call a perfect diet. Low fat etc etc. I felt miserable and weak. I did lose weight but felt like shizzzz. Now changed to fats for energy and I feel great and strong.

One thing I've noticed at age 62 is when I eat a "meat" meal i.e scrambled eggs , bacon or sausage I don't get heartburn. But when I eat a high carbohydrate meal i.e pasta, rice, bread, pizza. I get instant heartburn. and the desire for a nap. Also my younger brother (age60) has a stressful lifestyle, generally bad eating habits but eats mainly eggs and meat and the fat it contains. His heart scan score is "0" too funny ..

Whatever nature organically gives us that is what we need to eat. Carbs from fruits and veggies are great to add to your high-fat diet. In the hot summer times I would like to eat fruits more than animal fat, in the winter I would love to eat more animal fat than fruits.

Fruits (fructose) is the worst carb you can eat (with carbs in general causing vascular inflammation). Carbs are never great to add to your meals, especially if you are insulin resistant or have metabolic syndrome.
@NotTooExtreme
@NotTooExtreme 2 жыл бұрын
@@bme7491 nop you are incorrect. If the fruits are seasonal it's the best things to anyone. It will balance the sugar as well. What causes all the illnesses aren't the fruits, it's the Processed garbage but people are blaming the fruits or stargy vegies. Fruits and vegies will energize the body plus many more benefits. Non seasonal fruits shouldn't be consumed.

@@bme7491 sure they do. This is incorrect. It's a natural thing. Summer time it's fruit time. Winter time its fruit time (oranges, grapefruits) full of vitamin c to protect from viruses. Fall it's apple time, you are missing it out. 😂😂
