Looks like a movie with a solid line, i never seen bevore in a movie. -Guy wants to become something -Guy is motivated as hell for the big event (fight) -Guy gets punched in the face and wants to give up -Guy starts training again after some push ups from his beloved -Guy gets his comeback and he will Win the big fight. teh end

Rocky for 21st century, the cast are brilliant especially Christian Bale and Melissa Leo, they should definitely get Oscars and so should the director David O. Russell, except for Inception this is the best movie I've seen all year. Russel or Nolan its hard to pick, Christian Bale what an actor, I love all his movies, the only film was Terminator Salvation and thats because they focused more on Sam Worthington's character than that of John Connor.

just watched this movie recently. fantastic performances all around. wahlberg was great, but christian bale stole the show. he'll have some stiff competition, but he totally deserves the oscar.

Great film, solid performances from just about everyone. Great drama, not so much a all intensive fighting flick but worth watching. This, Black Swan & True Grit not to mention the King's Speech are 4 movie out right now that need to be seen.

best movie ever! just saw it 2day and i love it.

this is mutlijamesbond's (mom) and we saw the movie yesterday. the opening scene was the street i grew up on. it was exciting to see that my street meets hollywood. ha, ha the movie was great. my late husband would have loved the movie as well. great acting. we must have driven by 105 stevens street, and some of the other sites in the movie. exciting to see on the silver screen. my neice was able to see some of the filming of the movie near the old highland tap. i will be buying the dvd.

the movie is good. its no rocky clone and its worth watching just for bales acting. awesome job, nearly as good as johnny depp in fear and loathing.

it's mutlijamesbondfan's mom again. my son as well as his grandmother who still lives on hastings st. needed a taxicab on thanksgiving day a few years ago. the driver talked about his nephew and said that a movie was being made about his nephew and the street would be in the film. God orders our steps and i wondered why i was in a cab with my mom and son on thanksgiving day. it's a long story why we needed a cab ride, but as i look back, i can see the hand of God ordering our steps.

@emu2000 the trailer does not do it justice christain bale is amazing in this film. the film doesn't show the funny scenes, the funny scenes make the movie more real and fun.

It's almost like Christian Bale just likes to lose a lot of weight just to show off how he can seemingly do it so easily between films!
