just had my baby a month ago and the biggest things i’d suggest would be: -braid your hair before you go. my hair was in a bun and i didn’t brush it once and it got matted at the nape of my neck. -bring extra absorbent diapers for yourself. my hospital only had mesh underwear (which are basically fishnet underwear) and pads. i couldn’t hold my pee at all so every time i got up to go potty i would pee the entire way there and then have to clean up the trail -bring a folder. you’re going to get so many fucking papers. -bring flushable wipes for yourself because hospital toilet paper sucks -bring a tub of aquaphor if you plan on circumcising him to prevent the wound from sticking to the diaper. -have your postpartum care station set up and ready to go in your bathroom. diapers, tucks pads, peri bottle, flushable wipes, hemorrhoid cream etc

i've literally watched kelsey and cody since 2018 when i was in middle school, now i'm in college and watching them grow a family. im literally emotional like my big sister is having a child?? LOVE YOU MOTHER SO PROUD OF EVERYTHING

About the cats fighting recently; we had a similar issue and found out it was because of new furniture. Cats can be territorial, and if there is any new furniture in the house they want to claim it as theirs. So that could be the reason they are suddenly fighting when they usually dont. I love how real Kelsey is. She’s not trying to pretend there’s not going to be hard or gross parts to pregnancy like so many influencers do. They either don’t mention it at all or do the opposite and bring it up for sympathy. Instead she sees the comedy in it, like when she made the joke about the baby “coming out of her Va-Giii-Naa” in that funny vlog a couple months ago with Kody, or for example just the way she talks about it or acts in front of the camera, it’s just so natural and not forced or obnoxious or looking for attention from people. Idk I’m not doing it justice at all it’s so hard to put into words. At the end of a day if I was a baby about to be born into this world and raised by anyone I would want it to be this woman and her man. You guys are going to be the absolute best parents. Awww this makes me so happy- I watched you for years and became a mom in 2022 and now you're becoming a mom and it's so exciting!! It's such a rollercoaster but it's the best ride you'll ever go on. You look great Kelsey! I unfortunately went to 41 weeks and hated it - honestly I hated every minute of pregnancy, but when my baby came it was the best feeling in the world. Hang in there and take care of yourself momma💕 also enjoy every last bit of food- because food when you're pregnant is the best.. I'm sad to say food just isn't as good as it was when I was pregnant 🤣

Ok Kels, this might go against the whole low-maintenance aspect of Mom's famous cinnamon rolls, but I promise it's worth it. Making the dough from scratch makes a huge difference and it genuinely is not hard. I like to make the dough the night before I want to eat them and watch a movie while making the dough. The first rise will get you halfway through the movie and then you roll out the dough and spread on like 1/3 C softened butter and then toss on as much brown sugar and cinnamon as you see fit (It's fun bc you really get to use your own preferences). You roll up the dough into a log and then cut them into rolls, place them in a greased pan, and stick them in the fridge overnight. The best part of this step is that the second rise will take place in the fridge overnight (since it's cold in the fridge it's a slow rise so you don't have to worry about overproofing). You just take them out 30 minutes before the bake (the rise will complete as it de-chills) as you wait for the oven to preheat. When I tell you ppl lose their minds over these things, they really do. And then, for frosting, I do 1/2 butter and like 2 C powdered sugar (once again I just eyeball and tinker from there) a splash of vanilla and if I have cream cheese I do like 1/3 C or something but in a pinch I'll toss in a Tbsp or two of greek yogurt (adds a little tang in place of CC) or sour cream. I'll link my fav two recipes. Baby Ko will definitely ask Momma for these !! You deserve a one-up on Cody in the baking dept. I just used this recipe (www.mxriyum.com/cinnamon-rolls/) from Mariyum and got probably the best feedback I've gotten, (you've probs seen her one tiktok) And then this (www.twopeasandtheirpod.com/recipe-for-cinnamon-rolls/) is an alternate that I've used for years and had great luck with :)

I found out I was pregnant in February 2023 and my husband got a new job so we moved in December 2023. We didn’t get to have a nursery for our babe either, we just put her in our room. Very similar set up to you and Cody. Now we are moved and settled and so excited to make a sweet space for our sweet pea! Congratulations you guys!
