An interesting paradox pointed out of the government raising taxes in sectors with a disproportionately large number of 'wananchi' dependent on them(digital lenders & Mpesa etc) and the vise versa with banks that don't even come close as far as the number of active users and users in general go because of not meeting collateral thresholds. Problem - Solution mismatch? Taxing people that have nothing to give? Need for revision to get more pragmatic policy? Lots to contemplate.
