They are inanimate objects, they aren’t alive and him comparing them is an insult and shows he’s desperate. He could have said some other creatures but he choose things that aren’t alive. Maybe learn about the big bang instead of learning it from idiots? The Big bang doesn't say everything came from nothing, that's what the Bible says. Big bang doesn't describe time , matter, and space coming into existence after it happened. It describes them expanding , after it stopped being whatever it was before that moment. Some also say "what caused it?". Answer is "we don't know". Than they say "than why could it be not god?" Which god? Your god? Why is it your god? Why is it not a random spaghetti monster named "jefferson"?. Also it's not any religion. Why? Religion is lack of evidence, instead of rushing answers for things we don't know , just admit that we don't know. Do fairys exist? They don't. Why do we know they don't exist? Because of lack of evidence. Same applies to God . Until he's proven to exist , he doesn't exist. Some say "well what about my personal experience with God" children also have personal experience with Santa Claus and toothfairy. Does that mean they are real?.

Why not make sure that you are truly saved by Jesus Christ and practice this way. Remorsefully confess with your heart your sins to Jesus Christ who is God and tell Him that you right now are repenting of your sins and you want to be born again of the Spirit from above. Tell Jesus that you are remorsefully sorry for breaking His commandments and that you are begging for forgiveness from Him. Allow His blood from the cross to wash away your sins. After this is done with your heart successfully the Holy Spirit will come to live within you and He will rebuild you from the inside out. Look for signs that you are saved. Things like spreading the good news from Jesus, getting other people saved, a craving for the word of God, reading the Bible, etc… These things are known as a calling and fruit bearing. If you're not bearing fruit then keep doing it. Sometimes it takes time to get saved. Read Matthew chapter 13 from the King James Bible. God bless!!!!!!!

Two points on the apparent fine tuning of the universe. First, underlying the notion that the parameters are fine tuned is the assumption that the values we see are unlikely. We don't know this, nor can we. In order to judge them rare we would have to have a probability distribution for each parameter. Since we can't observe other universes to measure their values this assumption is unfounded. This makes the notion that the parameters could have no other values as valid as the notion that they are fine tuned. Secondly, the notion of fine tuning brings up the question of what the fine tuned for. From a mathematical and scientific point of view, if the universe is indeed fine tuned then it is much more likely that it is tuned to produce black holes than humans.

Well without black holes we woukdnt be here. Also its as if youre making the assumption that there are other universes. Otherwise how else could you say the fine tuning of this universe isnt rare. The multiverse idea is literally made up so that current science stays relevant. They have no answer as to why the universe is fine tuned and the only the way around it other than god is to say, meh we are just one of infinite universes and of which, 1 would have to be as our universe is. If that isnt faith then i dont know what is.
@bobs4429
@bobs4429 4 ай бұрын
@@Verse_John3_16 No, I don't make any assumption about other universes. My point is that we would need them in order to have any idea if the parameters in ours are unlikely. Since we cannot observe other universes we cannot make the fundamental assumption in fine-tuning, that the values in our universe are unlikely by chance. Since nobody can assume other universes (including me) any argument that rests on the notion that ours are unlikely has no legs to stand on. Fine-tuning actually needs them and their absence makes fine-tuning mere speculation. You are making a common mistake regarding the multiverse hypothesis. It is not "made up" in any way. A large number of valid scientific theories, theories that have been validated over and over again in the realms we do observe, predict them. Multiple universes are a prediction made by the math we use every day that faithfully explain our universe. Most physicists and cosmologists are actually quite unhappy with this prediction because observing them seems impossible. One physicist, Laura Mersimi-Houghton of UNC Chapel Hill, is presenting evidence that we can see their effects in the CMB. We'll have to see if this evidence stands the test of time. At any rate, you are incorrect to assert that the notion of the multiverse is just made up. Completely incorrect.

It is madness to think symmetry can form out of chaos and time out of statistical entropy! But it is logical that a process of spherical 4πr² symmetry forming and breaking could form entropy with the potential for greater symmetry formation. When the spherical symmetry breaks, it could form the potential for the most beautiful of geometrical shapes, the spiral. We have photon ∆E=hf energy continuously transforming potential energy into the kinetic Eₖ=½mv² energy of matter, in the form of electrons. Could this process form a design pattern or template in the form of spherical geometry for self-organization and complexity to arise?

Respectfully Professor, you've made some incredible points for establishing the Intelligent Design Argument except when you said "the universe is infinite". Neither time nor space can be infinite. Only God can be infinite. You see, if space were I finite, then all of space, not just outter space, must also be infinite. This includes the space between my thumb and finger. And if the space between my thumb and finger were infinite, then in order for my thumb and finger to touch, they would need to travel infinite distance. Due to them having to travel infinite distance, it would look like my fingers were never moving even though they had. Furthermore, a true infinite cannot be measurable and yet we can clearly measure distance on earth in miles or KM. Time faces a similar issue as it flows at a constant rate. And a constant rate is a measurable rate. And a measurable rate acts in contradiction to the definition of a true infinite, which is immeasurable. For this reason, since time and space have to be finite, this means that everything in the Temporal, Spatial, Creation, requires a first causer or Unmoved Mover 😊

We can’t know the past, present and future like God does. God is not bound by our time or laws of physics, chemistry and biology etc. Look into the Qur’an and how God introduces Himself. God isn’t a male or a female so me saying His/We/Him here is a Royal Majestic plural. How was this verse and so many others so accurate now and back then 1400 years ago? When mankind wasn’t yet this advanced. Way before the method of science explored and discovered it? Isn’t that a miracle in itself. Test the claims of the Qur’an and and use your intellect you will be surprised and not be able to test it. It’s beyond our comprehension but at the same time still understandable and relatable to our very psyche. But if you was to throw a egg (an ordinary chicken egg) to the ground and measure the splatter patter, then do the same same to a billion other eggs the statical probability of any of those eggs having the same splatter pattern is phenomenally unlikely.

What can first, the omnipotent being, or the laws of nature? It’s the omnipotent being who WROTE the laws of nature. He is not limited by his creation The laws of nature existed at the beginning of the universe, but the laws of nature are just that, “of nature.” They do not exist outside of nature. They are not eternal. The omnipotent being (God) is. He existed, he then wrote the laws of nature and created the universe. The question from this video is: If God didn’t create the universe, how did it get here when we know based on the laws of nature that it had to be this specifically fine tuned?
@Nathillien
@Nathillien Жыл бұрын
@@bnstv1716 What is first? The laws of nature are the first and the omnipotent being is no where to be found. Nature is all that is or was or ever will be. Nothing exists outside the nature. All the things that are so called fine tuned are part of the laws of nature. Your last sentence shows what god in all religions is. Not knowing something and inserting god to fill our current gap in knowledge produces a god of the gaps. A "being " that gets smaller and smaller as time passes by.

@@Nathillien I’m not presenting a “God of the gaps,” I’m asking a valid question that I can rephrase in multiple ways (and will below). My ultimate point is that a Creator is more plausible than the millions of assumptions that must be accepted as true to believe to the contrary. I’m the beginning (the Big Bang) was matter, energy, and space, in addition to laws of nature to govern the matter, energy, and space. So, how did the matter come to exist? The energy? Space? How did the laws come into existence? Why is there gravity? Laws of thermodynamics? What caused the Big Bang? Why did the universe begin to expand? If you start at the singularity of the Big Bang, how did we even get to there being a singularity? When you consider the materialistic/evolutionary answer to these questions, you must deny reason by concluding the effect (universe) had no cause. You must conclude the universe itself is eternal, which begs many questions, not least of which is: How did the universe get so small? If it was already small, why did it decide to “bang” and expand? What changed to cause the eternal universe to begin expanding? These are valid questions. Ignoring all religion, these questions must have a viable answer for materialism to make sense

You should know about the prophecies fulfilled by Jesus and the impossible odds of that happening. @Anon Ymous That’s not true at all. If you can measure the various forces (gravity, cosmological constant, strong/weak nuclear forces, magnetic) and measure how they interact, and you can test them here on Earth, you can then run simulations (calculations) and infer how they would act at the beginning of the universe. If I know with certainty how something acts and the results of how it acts, then I can infer how it would’ve acted in the past. Frank didn’t make up the Fine Tuning argument. Scientists and Mathematicians did. They made the discovery. Frank is just pointing out that there is no satisfactory explanation using material processes only to explain the Fine Tuning. Blessed is the One in Whose Hands rests all authority. And He is Most Capable of everything. ˹He is the One˺ Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving. ˹He is the One˺ Who created seven heavens, one above the other. You will never see any imperfection in the creation of the Most Compassionate. So look again: do you see any flaws? Then look again and again-your sight will return frustrated and weary.

It's the other way around: we are tuned for this universe. We are here because the particulars of this universe allowed for us.....the right set of circumstances that provided for life as we know it. We however cannot say that a different set of particulars would not have led to some other forms of life of which we do not know. We are tuned to this universe, the universe is not tuned to us. It is quite presumptive to think that we are the reason for things being the way they are, that this universe was made for us, when we have no knowledge of any other universal set of particulars that may have produced life of a different sort we cannot imagine.

THIS^^ is precisely what is wrong with the so called fine tuning argument! It is the egotistical hubris and vanity of people who need to be special creations in order to feel a sense that they might escape death and the loss of all that life is to them. What an extreme failure of logic it is to take a multi-variable function (like the universe) of which only 4% is observable matter and deriving it's "fine-tuned" without knowing anything about how the observable part is affected by that other 96%. Not to throw it back in their faces, but it's like straining at a gnat while swallowing a camel. Dr. Frank Turek says, "there are two options: either nothing made everything or someone made everything" (meanwhile to avoid what I consider an impossibility here I'll just insert this thing I call an impossibility fixer over here outside space and time - completely beyond the reach of any possible verification" WHY? *Because he is not at all concerned with verification that his claims are true.* Let me say that again. He NEEDS this unverifiable impossibility fixer to claim his belief is justified. Color me unimpressed.

If you look at it objectively can you really credit one side from the other? If an alien saw nothing but a human and a car, could it really say who was made for which? The car was made to transport the human, or the human was made to operate the car....

@@the-moocow Objectively, the car is an inanimate object with no facilities for "making" anything. Any alien would certainly be able to make such an assessment and easily determine the human built the car.

He makes the claim that the strength of gravity is tuned to 1 in 10 to the power 40. Before making this claim he needs to tells us what's the mean expected value, it's probability distribution and its variance. Only then is it possible to say how finely tuned the value is. He appears to assume that possible values have a flat distribution with a lower limit of 1 and an upper limit of 10 to the power 40. Where does he get this from? I think an understanding of probability is not Frank's strong point.

Nice presentation by Dr. Frank Turek. The Fine-Tuning Argument is one of my favorite arguments for God and is one that makes me wonder. However, I like to get all points of view, so here are some explanations for the "fine-tuning" of the universe: 1. Chance 2. Natural processes 3. Multiverse 4. It only looks that way because we're adapted to it "water in the puddle analogy". 5. Designer 1-4 could be true, but none of them refute option 5.

@@therick363 , let me explain my view. All because something can occur naturally doesn't mean there's no God. It just simply says that things can happen naturally. Or maybe God works through natural processes.

"omnipotence" is in direct contradiction with a "fine tuned" universe. If God is All-Powerful he can create anything he wants to but yet our universe with the "fine-tuning" it has is the only thing that he can "create." So much for an all powerful bearded man in the sky. 🤣 🤣 Sorry for bursting your bubble. I know it must suck.

@@StaticBlaster, ok I see your point. But who says that a "fine-tuned" universe is the only thing he can create? If he is all powerful, then he can create any universe he wants or anything he wants.

He has it backwards. Life is fine tuned for the universe. This is exactly what is to be expected from the theory of evolution. There's tons of evidence to support this. For example insects were much larger when the percentage of oxygen was higher. The insects in the past were fine tuned fir the oxygen level then, they couldn't survive in the present day. The statement that gravity was different we wouldn't be alive us preposterous. The strength of gravity depends on the size of the planet. If gravity was a little different we wouldn't evolved on a different size planet. Its a shame when people have to lie about science to prop up their faith. If you wanna believe in a god or gods then that's fine. Grow in faith and believe. Inventing pseudoscience when you have weak faith is using religion incorrectly.

That's bad logic. "If the universe collapses in on itself, then life would still occur because evolution." Parameters exist for a reason. Life CANNOT occur just cause evolution. Some planets are just too hostile to life.
