Wow. Could be the nicest Boss 429 I've ever seen. Factory fresh and correct.

I'm a Chevy guy but this Channel is turning me into a Ford Mustang guy some of the most beautiful Mustangs and muscle cars I've seen !

Damn, this is the best looking vehicle ever made. I've seen many colors I like, but this red is it man. All it needs are the window slats on the back window and it's perfect. Even has my favorite rims. I'd love to see those rims on a new muscle car like the new challenger or even a new Shelby. I bet it would look bad ass.

Absolutely beautiful! I have a 2001 Mustang Bullitt that I bought a year ago. Very nice car. Keeping it 100% original so that hopefully future generations can experience a piece of automotive history like the people in the video have done for us.

I remember that beast. When I walked around it, about 50 people passed by me and didn't give the car a second look. One of my favs of the show.

Years ago i was lucky enough to have a beautiful blue '69 Boss 429 and later a very cherry '67 Shelby 500. My Boss was featured in some hot-rod magazine. The difference between the two was close. In my opinion, the Boss had the better suspension and motor. The Shelby had more glitz and needed water/alcohol injection. Wish the hell I still had both of them!!

Two years ago I bought a 95 Mustang GT 5.0 convertable with only 70K miles on it. Car is Forest Green with tan & black interior. The engine is clean as a whistle. A real beauty and I love the car.

Its like buying a 2020 GT500 and locking in a vault for 50 years. And never touch it.

The caution tag says: "Caution! Vehicle should be driven 25 feet or more at least every 25 days!!!" It'll be waxed & buffed a million times. But I don't think this one will be ever driven for the rest of it's life! Sure it will live and last longer than it's owners but with no purpose. They might as well get it framed like a photograph. Cars should be driven to be enjoyed & experience the goodness & feel! I just feel sad for this car. Must be the way the car feels too. It must be itching to get out there and blast off to the moon!!! :)

Thats a gorgeous car! At age 56 I remember seeing cars like this for the first time at shows and on the street racing in the 70's. In 1976 I bought my first car, a 1970 Nova SS 350 4 speed car, in bright red with a black interior. My second choice to buy at the time was a 1970 Mustang convertible, but it was a 6 cylinder auto and a pale yellow with a white interior, in my mind a girls car and a girl did end up buying it LOL.

I have a guy I work with, as a young kid, his older brother had a 1969 white boss 429 and he was telling me what it was like to ride in it. He said the car was whiplash fast and spun the tires in all four gears at any speed. His brother blew the motor during a street race and a guy picked the whole car up for like 1500$ and ended up promising to pay and did not. My friend said the car had more power than anything he had ever ridden in. My question is how much was the original list price for the mustang in 69 and how much more was the 429 instead of 428 option cost. thaks and great car.

Oh trust you me it was driven before it was like that because it sat in my dad's garage my dad Helped Ed work on that Car my dad Ron Meyer did more work on that car if I think about it then I remember ..

A gorgeous car but where did the "assembly line only" parts come from? I've heard stories of such parts being "removed" (= STOLEN) from the factory by assembly line workers back in the day and sold or hoarded. Please tell me that this car doesn't have these.

How much faster is this 429 than the SCJ 428 that you mentioned? Can you tell a big difference? Because those 1969 Mach I Shaker Scoop Cobras, with the spoilers and window louvers and deluxe interior ones are my Favorite Car of All Time... Something about those Cobras that make them stand out.. Just wonder how fast they really were compared to these-top of the heap Mustangs..

"The Finest Boss 429 on the planet?" Depends on who you ask; should have asked Ed on camera. Would have been interesting to see if he mentioned 2526 and if its still considered the "unicorn" (as it was among old school B9 guys) ~15 years ago when he was selling it.

I can appreciate the knowledge and research and attention to detail that it takes for a concours restoration such as this but at the same time I personally would want to drive this car and of course all those original parts would come off and go into storage. I would definitely leave those beautiful wheels on there and not go with big gay 18"s and ultra modern rubber, in fact the most customizing I would do is period correct american racing wheels and BFGTA's 14 or 15" of course

No peeling paint like the 2000-2014 hood seems on the aluminum hoods or all the other fords paint problems,, Yes I own a 2011 GT Premium with paint problems.. Nice Boss 429 though.

The carrier hooks are absolutely not part of the car they belong to the carrier company,and that's where they are supposed to stay. that was a P.D.I. mistake at the dealership,i know I used to haul cars all over the country,and I'm in agreement with many others,,why ruin a car that is all original and in beautiful condition,this is a restoration that was not needed... still a fact however that it is a quality job,,and very correct,,with the exception of the overspray on the undercarriage,Ford removed all the over spray,,or they simply blacked it out. never the less the car looks as if it just was shipped in from the ford plant,,so good job pat pat,,as i am in agreement it is only two points off from a perfect restoration,,but that doesn't neglect the fact that it was not necessary,,and I myself would have left it all original,,i would have been very proud to have had a piece of History..now it is simply a restored Mustang Mach and one of many,, when it could have been one of a kind thank you for allowing us to view it.

Why would anyone restore a low mileage (and so I guess in very good, original condition) car? It's originality is destroyed. Only used NOS-Parts? Who cares? Nobody can bring back it's originality. It's just some restored car now.

I'll decide if it's the finest Boss 429 around here.......ummmmm....yup...carry on!

Went through all this to make it as original as possible and even mentioned the single stage paint but they wet sanded and buffed the paint flat. That makes no sense to me especially going this far. The paint should have the original orange peel look that the Ford enamel had back then. Whatever though. Nice car, but to me its a waste when you can't drive them.

How did this 48 year old Mustang NOT seem to suffer ANY ill effects after sitting for 25x longer?? Was it placed in a suspended animation chamber, like in the Aliens movie? Lol

Nice car for sure, but if it was so nice before, then why restore it? Why not just clean, detail, make a few small or needed repairs and be done? A car like that is only truly original ONCE, and over-restoring it will not bring that back, regardless of using NOS parts.

Ford wants Majorly to take credit for the Boss 429 Mustang but was Hollman and Moody who brought the car to life and bein told there are a few SN 95 bodys that have the Boss 429 in them and are Ungodly also its a Shame Ford had to get Gready with the plastic Ford motors today Plastic intakes that crack timing chain rails and More Ford dumped the real motors Windsors as well as the 385 big blocks meanin 460s sad but True and its like they say you can't fix Stupid
