If they reworked some of Lucifur's abilities to work similarly to Serpent form then it could be a lot of fun cause at the moment it sounds cool switching in and out of cat form to cast scorch but ultimately gets tedious fast when the damage output is so low for the amount of set up. So I don't usually comment on videos, but 8 minutes in... based on your reaction to Chestnut and your recent retail videos- Chestnut is actually from and obtainable in Dragonflight. Specifically in Thaldraszus. There's a tree in the zone (I'm sorry, I do forget exactly where) with a bunch of acorns around it, and you feed them to Chestnut and then he'll become a pet and follow you around forever

They should add a modified fire version of Swipe (cat) that can proc Firestarter, and allow Flamestrike to be casted in cat form, to fix the aoe problem of this ME.

i have quite the long idea for this without loosin it's scorch identity legendary enchant: lucifur requires that talent that allows for instant pyroblast and firestrikes, requires tigrr fury, requires ferocius bite, requires that talent that let you cast healing touch instant for 5 combo points transforms your ferocious bite into charred bite, a cat combo point spender that deals high physical and fire damage damage to your target, the fire portion scales from sp and it's critical strikes contibute to your instant pyro and flamestrikes. transforms tigrr fury into infernal fury, p combustion tipe low cooldown that make your cat physical abilities that don't apply bleeds to do additional fire damage scaling with sp and apply ignite from said fire damage. when you gain the oprtunity to cast an instant healing touch from your talent, you can cast a instant scorch that can't miss without leaving cat form. casting scorch, pyroblast restores 20 (or so) energy and flamestrike restores 30 (for the swipe spam in aoe) end. if there is any interaction i'm remebering wrong pls someone tell me cause i do not know them all, i'm a very new player and i play exclusively casters. thanks for reading this infernally furry bible. - jocho

The potential for a fun fire cat build is there. However scorch doesn't fit the fire cat theme as switching out of cat form frequently is frustrating. It would be nice if other cat form abilities, such as swipe and shred, were transformed by lucifur.

I really would love to make a build that focuses on fast attack speed and melee hits proc pyro/flamestrike instant procs. Would make Swashbuckling viable. Also Swashbuckling should be changed so that you can wield caster offhand items that are not for attacking/defending, only stats etc. Idea of the build would be to auto-attack like a madman and throw pyros at the target every few second or so and flamestrikes for AoE. Another would be a "buffer" enchant that changes how shaman weapon enchants work by making them last just few seconds and require proc to be able to be used and to get those procs you need fast auto-attack speed. Flametonque would make your attacks to spread fire debuff to every target in cone and every new autoattack makes the debuff to flare and explode extra dmg. Rockbiter would make your next 2-3 autoattacks be 2 second castime (castable while moving) and have 30 yard range and hit like 500% harder single target. Frostband would make your auto-attacks to slowdown the enemy attack/casting speed and movement speed by 30% and increase dodge rate by alot (good for tanking/pvp). Windfury Weapon would increase the attack speed and hit multible times to 3 targets in front of your character and increase the change to proc fire/frost/earth weapon buff. Controlling which buff would proc is done by changing the stance (battle: earth, Def: frost, Bersk: fire). So the build would be about managing the stance dance and buffing your characters next auto-attacks depending on the situation. Wanna aoe? Pop Windfury weapon and Bersk stance to get Flametonque proc. Wanna single target and have range? Pop Windfury weapon and Battle Stance to get Rockbiter proc etc. And the proc means that you can use the skill, it's not automatic usage, you have to press the weapon enchantment to activate the buff. Idea is to not use any skills on target, instead buff yourself to make your autoattacks do things. Heck even Earthliving could be added and make autoattacks heal up to 5 targets for the short duration and proc AoE riptide casts or instant chain heals etc.

Lucifur has always gotten my vote for coolest LRE that is awful. IMO the 3rd scorch should auto cast Feral Form and Feral Charge and create a little AE explosion. Thematically you just heat up with scorch then blow up as a fire cat... cool down and repeat. They also need to incorporate Swipe with some fire damage to give it some more AE.

I think it would be cool if they went into a melee/caster hybrid that would go something like scorch and fireball have a chance to proc instant pyros, flame shock damage has a chance to proc empowered fireballs that automatically give you an instant pyro proc. Whenever you consume an instant pyro proc you gain a stack of a buff, and at 3-5 stacks you get access to an ability that turns you into the fire kitty and charges the enemy and gives you empowered cat form abilities that remove a stack each, (or they can transform your spells you were casting into the new abilities so you don’t have to get ridiculously lucky getting all the abilities) and when you run out of stacks you transform back into your normal form, and you use disengage to get back to range, and using disengage gives you an automatic proc of the empowered fireball so you can start the loop again. Now of course that’s just a skeleton for what it could be, could have flamestrike interact in some way, or some other air fire spell so that they aren’t the hottest of garbage in aoe… but I think a class like that in some form in this game would be really cool

got my lucifur build with 66 ilvl upto 5-5.5K dps on dummy "Lucifur WiP" under parts on hero architect. builds look pretty similar anyways. The build/dps just felt very Meh tho if im being honest compared to other stuff that exists. i prefer reactive specs, not just casting 5 shreds into bite into 5 scorch then bite and repeat. to be fair though i theory crafted a build, rolled it, tested for a couple hours at max and got bored lol so not alot of experience with it outside of dummy tests

I’m quite new to ascension and newer still to your channel so take from this what you will: I feel like a common problem you are having with builds is that they aren’t dw. You’ve said dw isn’t the problem but I suspect it’s significantly easier to give it a bit of a nerf than to buff everything else. “Everything” might be a bit of an exaggeration, I know there are other builds that are also pumping out big numbers, it just seems like damage in general is kind of ridiculous. The most fun I’ve had in a [mythic] dungeon so far was tanking for a group where one of our dps had to leave and the two we had remaining weren’t hitting insane dps. I don’t feel like we were in any significant peril, but it just felt much more substantial. -Atis

Another option is to do something similar to Curse of Arugal and let you cast various fire spells in cat form plus turning swipe into a fire aoe. That might make it a touch more interesting then converting it all to fire damage.

Should have been building combo points in cat builds a cast of Clearcasting basically, then when you have that buff you can cast a specific ability with it and it does different things if youre in cat or out of form.

The fact it demands you to drop cat form hurts bad as you constantly need to shift in and our. If it changed to have Scorch be a finisher that applies the buff allowed in cat form it'd be so much better.

Wish ascension wasnt so greedy with vanity items. Sucks that from season to season you have to rebuy it sort of. You have to buy the vanity sync item, which can only be bough with a package from their store for alot of real money. Ofc your can buy it with gold too, but sucks that we already paid for vanity items with real money and now i have to buy something again to be able to use it.. really pushes me off ascension, tho i still watch your videos to get my fix 😄

I literally got to play Serpent Form(Cat), I say it can perform rather well in PVP cause Venomous Fury hit's harder depending on how much energy you have in excess to do more aoe damage or heavy ST damage. legit had some salty player call me a _Try hard_ when in the same exact scenario they would spam Fear against someone, similarly like me who had decent damage to deal and killing potential with the build. Yet I'm still theory crafting which talents best suit the playstyle for me at least like energy regen wise or gained. plus I've stacking a ton of crit from talents, cause we know the saying _Crit is King._ almost had about 40% crit cause I even got the leader of the pack to drop from the roll system. So I've been having fun with what I can on Ascension S8, as Deathglance the Tauren boi. wound up saving Gold to buy the seasonal cosmetics, over my other Vanity stuff for now, cause I was like eh, I've gone to long with out it, it's not going to make or break it for me in terms of trying to have fun. and Funnily enough during Malganis I've Tried the Lucifer fire cat and it was indeed underwhelming, Only thing I have to say _This now being TLDR, sorry about that_ Give the something like the Maelstrom ability to insta cast it and while shapeshifted to be castable to be on par with the other builds one day. and as always love and appreciate you man. 💖🌟✨💖

They should let you cast dragon's breath and flamestrike in cat from either by default or from a proc for aoe. Maybe ignore DB and make swipe gives you stacks that give you an impowered instant flamestrike.

If baseline cat is reflective of wotlk classic then swipe is really powerful starting at full energy coupled with beserk. The aoe wrath classic feral druids can do it that window is massive. Maybe you can build around that baseline and it will be viable for aoe

I don't know about other viewers but honestly I'd like to see the super broken builds personally over the kinda bad "theme builds" every now and then

I like your recommendations. I think they should make swipe apply fire damage like swipe does shadow damage dot in worgen form. Fire cat still seems super clunky and not worth rolling at the moment.

They should have made it a flame lock cat build, immolate, incinerate, and combustion plus the cat stuff and make it all usable in cat form
