You ended up in a crew who had no respect for the rules. These "brothers" were only brothers when it suited them. They could not manipulate you. They resented your intelligence, caution and old school ethics. You made them look incompetent and untrustworthy...bc they were. Shows why rules are important in families, organisations, teams, and society the alternative is chaos. If people don’t have the ethics to follow rules how can you trust them. Once they demonstrate their willingness to flaunt a groups rules you have to be forever cautious.

Sounds like Patty Dellorusso forgot where he was at and what life he was living. Maybe he really wanted to be the VP of that company instead lol. No doubt I wouldn't be cut out for that life among other reasons I would have wanted to knock Patty's fuckin teeth out for doing that to me in front of nobody Bill Fenton then of course I would be in trouble. I've had people I thought were friends pull similar antics on me too and listening to this as you were leading up to what happened it was actually ticking me off and I don't even know these people.

Hi John, love your stories, but I'm a little confused. You had a no-show job with this guy's company, and as I understand no-show jobs. You get paid for NOT doing anything except maybe showing up every once in a while. I would have thought that $150.00 out of your pocket to protect your bottom line of a free paycheck for not doing anything wouldn't have been a big deal. I mean in that life spending $150.00 on drinks and stuff wouldn't have been a concern during a weekend of parting. Your concerns about having some sort of ties to the business so that if law enforcement came sniffing around having it look good on paper makes sense. You also stated that the guy didn't remember having talked to you about it, cause he was drunk, but maybe he did remember and he complained to Dellorusso about you coming to him with that proposition prior to you confronting him about it again and Dellorusso told him not to worry about it, cause he'd take care of it, if you brought it up again, which you did. So I think he had betrayed you before then, cause maybe even he felt you were cutting in on his bottom line???

That is the life, even if youse be brothers they will always look out for the one making him the money. Glad you are out f it. Do you miss it?
