In this film Graeme goes through some tips on a method that could turn any fisherman's day into some rod bending action. Beginners or newcomers might find this is just what they were looking for to convert bites into that bent rod. Did we say "bites"?? Graeme gets some of the most savage takes on his quivertip rods that you are ever likely to see, and he is fishing so close to the margins he barely has to swing the bait out. His aim is to crack the 100lb barrier but he doesn't use a keepnet, instead he weighs and records each fish weight individually. So if he catches this amount of fish in a session where he has already stayed up all night catching big Carp, what could he put together in a weight if he fished all day? This could be the film to turn many a day into success for beginners...but don't take your eyes off the rod....It could end up in the water! As usual, the Totally Awesome Fishing Show is out there to give you tips and techniques. Remember just one good tip might turn your session around. Enjoy!

Always entertaining Graeme, makes me wish I was over there somewhere wetting a few lines trying to catch that I've never caught before, well except for the Carp, but I still enjoy catching them anyway, doesn't matter what size they are, always a good scrap. Method feeder is by far my favourite way of fishing for carp. So far my biggest fish on method feeder was a 12lb common. (caught on a 6lb main line). It can be really exhausting though, I remember having a session where during 6 hours I caught well over 50 carps (between 2 - 10 lb), my arms were completely knackered.
@sonypench832

Get proper carp feeders or use normal carp rods with method feeder and alarm. It will help your arms. I do carp fishing on a method feeder too but after a while I change from quiver tip to either sturdier feeder rod or carp rod .

Hi Graeme, awesome session the alarm didnt stop. ive forgotten my match net so many times when fishing for a bit of fun. if you pull the bottom of your carp net upwards thru the gap in the spreader block if makes it the main net alot more shallow and easy to net the smaller fish. might be worth a go next time the match ent evades you haha

I think majority were Commons...I did actually wonder if they are the predominant species of Carp so that is why they are called Commons ?. I don't know. The one type I rarely see now is the Leather Carp which I understand was bred by the Monks to make them easier for cleaning,as they kept them for eating. We got them 50 years ago but they seem a bit of a rarity nowadays.

When I'm fishing fairly close in with the Method, I like to use a decent sized bodied, self cocking, stick type float, so the feeder is about a foot over depth & the float is more interesting to watch rather than just looking at the quiver tip. (of course, the quiver tip is not then required)

Mainline cell is 1 of the most popular and oldest boilies and has been put in lakes all over in large amounts. Cell is coconut and carp have a sweet sweet tooth. Another Carp angler once told me there can't be a water in the UK that hasn't had cell cast in it. I used the 8mm's only yesterday at Bonds Lake at Bury Fisheries for a few hours after an all-night big Carp session...happy to say once they got on it it was rod bends all the way. I only packed up as I was so tired and had an hour's drive home.

@@TAFishing yep every lake I have been to cell has been used and I've used it myself for other species aswell. Do u not think if the product is good enough to use then they should be good enough for a shout out lol

I try to avoid "tackle ramming" wherever possible ,and I think the majority of our viewers appreciate that. Its more about helping beginners get a few more fish with either end rigs or techniques. They can always go into their local tackle shop and ask them what products they would advise getting.

Keep up with that basic feed! What the Fukushima! Is that fish?....keep up with those perennial principles that are above and beyond as aesthetic archetypes , any persons inclination.. for greatest decent angling satisfaction... leaving no footprint behind..on the landscape...two rods going at once.???in those conditions?..with those heavy weights??.....fish welfare! Way for world is .. steady evolution...rather than immediate revolution!

Could be a new one for any vegan anglers ?? I hate Brussel sprouts so they are welcome to mine..Wife still puts them on my plate at Christmas..total waste of time for me,though my gran used to make Bubble and Squeak with them which was marginally edible...

Electric cars🤔 🤔Global warming, environment destruction, food shortages. Just to many people in the world taking to much. If there where less people, we could all eat a Cow a week. 😀 and drive gas guzzling cars with no impact on the environment.😉

6lb mainline to a 9lb hook length.... SCHOOLBOY ERROR 🤏💯🤦‍♂️
@TAFishing
@TAFishing Жыл бұрын
9lb hooklink was the norm for match fishing when after Carp so it doesn't bust off if it touches the lip of the landing net ,its how the manufacturers produce them in packets,I never tied it,it was ready made. It won't make a scrap of difference to me using 6lb onto 9 as I can't break 6lb with my Avon or match rod,let alone 9lb !!. We have a film up on the playlist illustrating how little pressure is applied with different fishing rods. Might be worth checking out.
I get a MASSIVE catch of BIG GREEN FISH! (PART 1)
