This summer, all the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead should never end in The Forever Purge.
Vaulting from the record-shattering success of 2018’s The First Purge, Blumhouse’s infamous terror franchise hurtles into innovative new territory as members of an underground movement, no longer satisfied with one annual night of anarchy and murder, decide to overtake America through an unending campaign of mayhem and massacre. No one is safe.
Adela (Ana de la Reguera, Cowboys & Aliens) and her husband Juan (Tenoch Huerta, Days of Grace) live in Texas, where Juan is working as a ranch hand for the wealthy Tucker family. Juan impresses the Tucker patriarch, Caleb (Will Patton, Halloween), but that fuels the jealous anger of Caleb’s son, Dylan (Josh Lucas, Ford v Ferrari).
On the morning after The Purge, a masked gang of killers attacks the Tucker family-including Dylan’s wife (Cassidy Freeman, HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones), and his sister (Leven Rambin, The Hunger Games), forcing both families to band together and fight back as the country spirals into chaos and the United States begins to disintegrate around them.
From a screenplay by franchise creator and narrative mastermind James DeMonaco, The Forever Purge is directed by Everardo Gout, writer-director of the award-winning thriller Days of Grace. The film is produced by the franchise’s founding producers: Jason Blum for his Blumhouse Productions; Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller; and Man in a Tree duo James DeMonaco and his longtime producing partner Sébastien K. Lemercier. The film’s executive producers are Marcei A. Brown, Everardo Gout and Jeanette Volturno. Universal Pictures presents, in association with Perfect World Pictures, a Platinum Dunes/Blumhouse/Man in a Tree production.

Yes because this movie is an implausible turd no matter what you believe politically. The effort should be to be as plausible and authentic as possible. That's when movies are actually scary or exciting. Even going into this movie understanding the setting of the Purge movies, the movie throws plausibility completely out the window to focus on pushing these retarded agendas. You're supposed to believe in a USA where there are so many white racists they can attack army bases and push back the military....but they call mexicans "brownies" instead of a REAL racial slur (because the writing team would cry if they heard authentic racism)

I'm a forty-three-year-old single father, and we, we being my son and me, just moved into our first home that we bought. It's a brownstone in Philly, and it's in a Latino neighborhood. And I can tell you, nothing is cooler than living in the Latino neighborhood. I wasn't aware that it was a Latino neighborhood, nor would I care, but once I moved in, people were bringing me Spanish food, they were welcoming me left and right, my kids bike was left out one day, and they literally brought it back to my porch, it's such a sense of family and community and it's so refreshing. Although they refer to me as the white man, they treat me with nothing but love respect and welcoming, and I'm very good friends with two of the men now, and I've been invited to play on a rugby team. And this is coming from a loner former military guy. And when they were welcomed in in this movie, it just reminded me of the way I was welcomed into my neighborhood, and now I babysit kids and my son is friends with those kids, and we're all learning to speak Spanish, and it's one of the most beautiful experiences in my 43 years of life

i have just seen this movie on bluray. i can just say, The Forever Purge is the best one yet of this franchise. i can’t thankful enough to the amazing director and amazing writer who made this movie amazing. this is the only Purge franchise that has touched my heart. what a mind blowing movie. what a great actors. what a great script. This is the only movie i think so far that have made us to understand of unity in diversity. no matter your race, and skin, love is love.

As a big fan of this series, this is one of the few movies I can bare watching now as it is very straight forward. However, as most of the events are set in daylight, it kinda takes away the scary jump scare factor. Still a thrilling movie never the less.

The Purge series has always been straightforward, nothing to complicated in the story arcs. And the night time scare tactics is always done and over played. BUT movies that do scare scenes without the cover of night is harder for the writers , actors and directors. When a horror movie is set during the day, for the audience to be “scared”, it puts pressure on the camera work and the actors skill in selling their emotions. The writer, director and actors did a fantastic job at keeping the movie a thriller. When a thriller is set in the daytime it’s usually because they want an actual challenge.

Just finished watching this masterpiece. I enjoyed it. It nice to see the racial divide and harmony all in one film. They were hating each other at first but later came to realize they are one in front of death.

Spoiler Spoiler: Loved this movie because it showed the flip side. Everyone gets mad at foreigners for coming into America but when the same American people needed help and protection they got to see the other perspective. It’s only a problem to some Americans because it doesn’t benefit them and this movie really highlights that.

I won’t call the purge movies a “horror” movie. I saw all of them, and for me they were more like action/suspense movie. Yes the first movie feels more like horror because it takes place in a house, but the whole gun shooting brings the action dropping the whole “horror” vibes. I would prefer leaving the movies as a trilogy, and the first purge as a spinoff that is connected with story.

Could just be because of the setting of the movie. If you consider all the costumes and the props and I guess the full length of the movie it would cost a lot more. We'd have to watch it first though. I think the storyline is nice. Basically what lies after the purge and would've answered my old question way back in '13 do some of the people still feel the need to kill after and if they do it unbeknownst to the government.

@@samuelrenfro8471 the release of the movie isn't out till July 2 its only then we can really judge if it was worth its production cost. Trailer don't really say much except the premise. It do be looking drab but take into account the setting its somewhere in the wild wild west which honestly they do be lookin monotonous. A contrast on people's lives there which is wild and colorful. But if we go into detail the amount of extras and actors cost of vehicles and special effects digital and traditional that do be a lot. Also the damn talent fee. I dont know man my ramblings. I had the opportunity to work on a small film for my college's film festival and let me tell ya, the budget goes to a lot of things. Beyond what you see on screen. A lot of it goes to the advertisements too cause they have to pay ppl to talk about it. In that sense i am expecting a lot from this movie. The premise is interesting for a parallel universe.

In the other Purges they mention Mexico closes it's border so folks couldn't go cross it during the purge and than come back. In my opinion, "The Forever Purge" was a masterpiece! I really loved the acting of Juan and Adela and the fact that there were actors both from the United States and from Mexico. And I think that the whole story behind "The Forever Purge" was outstanding! I really hope that in the future we will see a comeback of The Purge 6.

The whole reason the purge as a series was unique was because of the controlled timeline where normal people become savages, there is no law and people can try to wait it out. Eliminating it just makes it an apocalypse movie.
