Jay is just in tune with his muscles he knows where he's trying to tear muscle. You can feel it and target exactly where you want.

Why would he want to tear muscle? That doesn't make sense
@aleksssss
@aleksssss Сағат бұрын
@@few.more.partialsthe essence of muscle growth is tearing the muscle fibres through microtears. The microtears are caused by stretching (and a good pump) during a workout and then repairing that muscle tissue to grow into more muscle mass with proper nutrition and rest.

The biggest thing is concentrating on working the muscles you're training. Which movements give you the most burn and pump in the group you're trying to work. Like Jay says, it's different for everybody but you have to actually concentrate on the movements to feel the slight differences and make the adjustments to get the most out of every exercise.

Exactly. Every body is unique and you have to find what works for YOU. Maybe you will get bigger with 6 reps or with 15 reps it all depends what really works for you and stick to it.

Here’s the thing, if Jay lifted with more strict form with less swinging he potentially, and I say this lightly potentially could’ve been even bigger. Seriously as he would’ve gotten more stimulus and less fatigue. But he had stellar genetics and obviously on juice so it compensated.
@NoobyNick0710
@NoobyNick0710 13 күн бұрын
yeah and i feel he was actually pretty strict on chest and back if you watch his training vids that we have - biceps here, obviously not. guess which muscle group was his weakpoint? i think this contributed to his lack of bicep vascularity - not being strict and forcing blood to flow into the muscle

He achieved the pump. That’s it. Today they teach time under tension and stricter form. Does save time? Perhaps. Would it have taken Jay longer to achieve the pump with partial swing reps? Probably. Is the end product the same post workout? Yes. It’s all relative. Look at Arnold’s day, they were swinging weight around but they trained all day everyday. The volume was there, the pump was there. That’s it.
@iamdancer
@iamdancer 21 күн бұрын
In my opinion partials single out a muscle more instead of multiple..for example a full push up hits shoulders and chest but a partial removes the shoulder tension singles out the chest and since its partial the chest is in constant tension..whem you can no longer do push ups but partial you still can so the chest gets just as worked as shoulders so you finish off with partials and can max out both body parts now instead of shoulder restricting chest growth..applies to a lot of exercises

There is a good clip of Eddie Hall explaining how he shoulder presses he lowers the dumbbells does not lower all the way down does not take it all the way up he’s barely moving the dumbbells 4 inches but keeping all the load on the shoulders too low and to much triceps too high and other muscles are coming into play. And he’s one of the strongest men in the world and held the 500kg deadlift world record.

Yeah the people who are trying to correct your form are the small guys who are doing what everyone else is doing, so when these casual normal people who see someone who isn't doing what the other sheep herd are doing, like a black sheep sticks out doing it's own thing, it baffles them, so they find ways to drag you back into the crowd and into their fixated and complacent mindset, and these aren't even professional folks working out. Just regular people, so why on earth would professional fitness athletes ever take advice or corrections from people who haven't even entered a professional contest yet?
