I won a match (against AI) once by leading a pack of 4 or 5 leopards to an enemy town center. I was trying to build a forward archery range and was swarmed by leopards so I decided to just keep running towards the enemy base. For some reason the AI didn't really know how to respond to that

@@kennethjohannessen7772 If you create only a few crossroads, then there will be no need for roadblocks. Sure, a couple geniuses will still get lost, but at least most buildings will get services. I generally only put roadblocks between the flood plain and the city, farms in the flood plain need no services anyway.

Seth's curse of killing all the soldiers is devastating when you are under attack, likewise, Ptah's curse of destroying a warehouse is a tragedy when you run out of pottery as a result. Yes, big cities tend to be horrible to manage. The original game, without the cleopatra addon ends with a mission where the goal is 20 000 people with at least 9 palaces. The problem is that hundreds live in palaces, and none of them work (They become rich aristocrats who just don't feel like doing anything besides paying huge amount of taxes). You have to plan so that huge area still receives services, luxury services, yet the buildings where the service providers live do not get the same services, otherwise they become aristocrats too, no one works, all society collapses. Also half the map is occupied by the pyramids you are supposed to build.

Really, I bet a ton of the work for animals sprites could be reduced by re-working old Zoo Tycoon files, since the graphics of AoE2 and Zoo Tycoon are very similar and Microsoft would have their hands on both.

Pacific Islands- Herdable (Sheep) = Pig , Huntable (Deer) = Sea Birds, Aggressive (Boar) = Coconut Crab, Wild (Wolf) = Crocodile? Would pick Shark but has to be terrestrial. Australia - Herdable = Pig?? , Huntable = Kangaroo , Aggressive = Cassowary , Wild = Crocodile New Zealand - Herdable = Pig , Huntable = Sea Birds , Aggressive = Moa (could be the same sprite as Cassowary), Wild = Tuatara
