In the 90's I lived in Denver, CO when I proudly earned my SP badge. I worked with a young lady who was involved in the "church". She was a single mother with a physical disability that forced her to walk with canes. She was a single mother and received very little help from the "church friends" and soon became my surrogate daughter. I would babysit her little boy, help her run errands and just about anything else I could help her with. Her roommate was a lady in her late 40's who was an OT8 and a senior official in the local "church." In the neighborhood they lived in about every other home was owned by a Scientologist family and my friends house was the hangout for the "church" members in the neighborhood. I was there for most of the time and was generally accepted. Until that day. Have you ever said something in public that you knew you shouldn't. Yet you did it anyway. Like I said, my friends roommate was in her late 40's. At some point she meet a young man who was 21 and for a few weeks they had a very hot and heavy affair. They were going to meet up to spend the weekend together and he stood her up and then ghosted her. When she arrived home she was in a highly emotional state and locked herself in her bedroom. After that all we could hear was her crying, screaming and tearing up all of the furniture and breaking the windows in her bedroom. Of course, her neighbors showed up to try to help her, but she ignored all of their attempts to calm her down. So here I am in the living room surrounded by about a dozen "church" members who are at a loss at what to do. Finally things got very quiet in the room though we could still hear her crying. And this nasty thought formed in my mind. I knew I shouldn't speak that thought and normally would NEVER do something like what was about to happen. And in my defense, I waited at least 30-45 seconds before the thought became words and escaped from my mouth. "Sounds pretty clear to me." No one said I thing, but the stares said everything. I quickly got my @ss out of there. The next day my friend called and said the "church" had placed me on SP status and she could no longer associate with me. I was sad our friendship was over, but knew she was in good hands as far as having someone assist her. I had introduced her to a young man and they had become very good friends. One of the happiest days of my life was a couple of years later when I received an invitation to their wedding. And the best part he was able to help her leave Scientology.

A-aron, this cut has attracted a lot of crazies/OSA b.s. Hoping you'll clean them out - it does nothing to add to this actual conversation. Anyways: Realizations like that can really throw you! I remember literally collapsing onto my kitchen floor when I realized a close friend was spying on my marriage for my husband's sidepiece. Talk about a shock to the system. I can only imagine how that's magnified when deprogramming from a cult 😢

Psychopathy (like all other personally disorders) presents on a spectrum and the psychopathy spectrum itself also overlaps considerably with the narcissistic, borderline, and anti-social personality disorders. This unfortunately can (and does) make diagnosis and treatment of such disorders difficult. I admit there is a link between psychopathy and pre-existing conditions such as poor/traumatic childhood, brain injury, substances abuse ect. This isn't always a prerequisite as the reality is psychopathy actually has evolutionary benefits for us as a species. The reality is when it comes to personality disorders there is ultimately always elements of nature vs nurture involved. Last but not least I think it's important to remember that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US has (some) psychopathic characteristics and there's nothing wrong with that as we were born that way....

You're cute, anti-social disorder is basically psycho. narcissistic traits, on the other hand are nurtured by cults/ religions, Hollywood, Chicago Boys... Very common among "successful "people. nothing to worry about if you don't live with them or are one of them.

They almost sucked my father in law in at 73 when in la last year. My wife and I waited while they tried, if not for us he would have went in. The guy came to me and I told him strait “get away from me, go back to your cult.” He looked at my wife and started talking to her, she is too nice in situations like that. I told him to leave her alone, he didn’t and then I stepped up to him and said “that’s my wife and I told you 1 time. I won’t tell you again” he started to talk to her again and he got taught what it means to find out.

That's very concerning that your wife can't make a decision or speak for herself. And that you feel you have to control even who talks to her. Obviously this one is about Scientology, but she should absolutely be able to handle such a situation by herself as a grown woman. To me this just screams you're a control freak, subduing your wife and very quick to become violent if things don't go your way.

I know you stay away from politics. Putting this picture up is a very poor choice in today's world. It's tone deaf to world events at the moment. Both locally & abroad. Rather than click bate it had opposite effect on me. It made me think twice about ever clicking again on anything from you. However I have watched you long enough to know better and have a lot of respect for you. I would highly suggest changing picture.
