Best youtube channel but unfortunately the comparison is with the first bluray edition and not with the 2013 remastered one. Anyway the new 4K transfer looks excellent.

The 2013 (USA only) edition was based on the same aging master (1.78:1 ). ;)

saw this back in september 93 with my older brother. we watched jurassic park a couple of weeks before. we intended to watch it again but the lobby cards of this film caught my brother's attention. I was 10 and sure couldn't grasp some things but enjoyed the whole experience. obviously can't remember exactly if the movie looked exactly like this 4k but probably it was close.

Hi, thanks for all the videos. I like them a lot! Collecting movies for myself. Would it be possible to write the original titles of the movies in the title? That would be awesome!

I mean: In this case, it's obvious, what title it is. 😅 But in general, it would be very helpful to read the original titles for us 'non-french' watchers of your channel. :)

It works in English and French (user settings). Maybe not based on other languages (such as German, etc.), which need to translate the titles back to the native language of the video, which is French. We will check that@@ZimmerZirwes

Gardez toujours à l'esprit que la valeur de MaxCLL est à considérer avec recul et précaution. L'intégralité d'un film peut être associé à un maxCLL de 5000 nits, en n'ayant qu'un seul pixel mesuré à cette valeur à l'introduction du film (sur un logo et sur un plan introductif particulier), comme c'est le cas ici et sur un très bref instant.

I dont think we fan really know what this film should look like unless we have a print. The former blu ray and dvd were given weak encodes and the 30th anniversary Blu ray was better. At first glance this 4k looks extremly good, very sharp. Until you see that certain sequences like the dam and early escape scene have teal all over them. Look at the where the guard stops him in the hospital(the yellowish light is now teal) and the shot of Kimble at the payphone in Chicago. All the buildings have individual colour and great contrast. Its now all greenish teal! This movie does look more like chilly Chicago, like you can feel it but that was only accomplished by pulling back the contrast(odd choice for watching a movie in HDR) using a cooler colour temperature and putting teal on it to make it look more modern which is idiotic! Such a wasted opportunity. They didnt mess with the grain at least so there is a lot of detail and the proper aspect ratio.
