Thank you guys so much for getting us to 1,000 subscribers! I'll be going back to uploading weekly videos. This is just a short video explaining why I had to take an unannounced break from KZfaq, as well as a brief overview of the direction of this channel.
If you're interested in personalized Skype lessons, email me (amar at amarguitar dot com) or send me a message via Facebook/Twitter/carrier pigeon.

100% endorse Amar for instruction. He is the first teacher I have had that took the time to understand where I was as a musician and then tailor my lessons to get me over some mental blocks. 3 thumbs up!

This is guy is awesome. I mean I never I thought I would be learning anything from a KZfaq channel, I'm kinda old fashioned. But the content on this channel are genuine, detailed and exceptionally good. Who wouldn't support you. Cheers!

When I saw the title of your video pop up in my notifications, I got worried that you were closing up shop. Really happy to hear that this is not the case and, in fact, it sounds like you’re doing very well! Have a wonderful holiday season! Looking forward to seeing your videos in 2018!

Where in NY? I've always gotten a west coast vibe from you, weird. Either way, you create some of the best stuff on KZfaq right now, hands down. The amount of effort you put into each video really does show. I'm glad you're doing well, a lot of great guitar KZfaqrs have gone MIA so it's good to have you back

Oh as far as requests go I’m pretty thankful for what I get but one suggestion would be exercises to improve one’s ability to locate and target a chord tone, other than the root, from the next upcoming chord while soloing. I enjoy these so much that I may at some point end up doing a Skype lesson. Thank you!!

Where in upstate? I live in Southern Herkimer county. I am just beginning a collaboration with a Dobro player/vocalist hat lives near Cooperstown. I have musician friends and family in the "Rottenchester" area. I really enjoy your videos since I discovered the Dead in 1967 while a senior in high school in Hancock N.Y. i moved back to these "hills" after retiring in 2012. I never stopped playing though.

Hey Amar! Thanks so much for your videos. You provide an unparalleled service. Here's a request: Brown Eyed Women from 5/25/77. There's that moment in the jam where Jerry activates, well, Jerry mode. Keep us posted and thanks again!

I'm not sure how difficult it would be - but i think a video on Phish's lighting guy. I believe his name is Chris Kuroda. In my opinion, I think he is almost like a 5th member of the band. It would be really interesting to learn more about him if there is any information out there. A big part of Phish shows are the lights! Just pumped to see whatever material you put out there. keep it up!

I never would have ever thought to do a video on CK5 but I’m slightly obsessed with him and his contributions to Phish. Thanks for the wonderful idea, sir!

I️ see you already said you’d be posting another anatomy of a jam lesson, which I’m very pumped about. If I️ could make a request though, I️t would be sooooo great if you could go into more depth about what each instrument does in a jam, and how they kinda change keys as a unit ya know what I️ mean? Maybe with a Dead jam this time too

Thank you for the great feedback, I think I was able to really go in-depth into the way other members steer key/harmony changes in the upcoming episode of Anatomy of the Jam. I’d love to hear your thoughts after it gets released (which will be very soon)
