My husband is a huge fan of yours. He can’t play wow because he’s very busy and we are blessed to have him. But I would watch your videos with him because he really enjoyed them. It was a midnight routine of his. But when you stopped making videos those days stopped too. Now he may watch some random video but without that spark he once had. I’m glad to hear your making videos on twitch and can’t wait to let him know. He really doesn’t do social media or really any other online activities aside from paying bills nor is he on the up with the times. Kinda old fashion and hard working. So I’m excited to download twitch onto his phone so he can watch your videos again. Super excited about this. Thanks for the smiles you put on his face.

I don't play wow atm, but I've played it on and off since I was 14 (31 now). I like to tune into your content sometimes as it provides me pretty much the same nostalgia (or maybe even a better version of it) than actually playing the game. Cheers, whatever you decide to do.

Okay. But the game was never designed to be played hardcore. Without any sort of bug support or assistance from dying to "bullshit mechanics". Why would you play hardcore? Also, gold selling, trading twink gear etc. It's actually just bullshit. If you play it as the "hardcore addon" intended, then good, that's the only way you are actually playing hardcore, even though that wasn't perfect. I can probably name 10 bullshit ways you will die, and you have no way of getting your character back. You won't even learn from your death, because it's just a buggy game. (This is not a "you think you want it, but you don't" comment, just saying the game is buggy and not made for hardcore play) End note: If you have fun, enjoy :)

As a retail player, I enjoy watching those who enjoy Vanilla WoW, and especially the hardcore servers, since that is something I could not even see myself doing and having fun doing it -- so watching those play it and enjoying it, is cool to watch. Love any and all content you put out, including the chill streams. I was a retail andy... but it just feels like something is missing, and even though there are people around it feels empty. Enjoying hardcore as well.

Its because the people playing the game are jaded boomers. And you aren't young anymore. The people in Classic don't talk to each other because the novelty of it being their first MMO wore off 20 years ago. WoW wasn't just a huge cultural phenomenon and insanely popular. It was also a huge change from the games people played before it. Just the experience of leveling in dun morogh, reaching ironforge, taking the tram to stormwind and riding the gryphons absolutely BLEW MY MIND back in 2006. Everything was fresh and new, and everyone playing the game had similar experiences. Due to all of this, people talked a lot more, especially because there was a ton of casuals, kids, dads, people in school etc all playing the game. Now the demographic is just boomers who played when they were young. It doesn't feel the same, because it isn't the same. You can't really take back all the BiS guides or min maxxing, adapting to a "no world buffs" and so on policy for guild raids helps, but its not going to be the same. Everyone knows everything about what the best talents, rotations, gear, strats for bosses, grinding/farming spots, etc. The only real thing I enjoy in classic as much as I used to is PvP. Having competent people to fight ups the challenge.

I will forever love Vanilla and your videos about it. Your channel is what actually got me into Classic back in 2019. No matter what current issues WoW has, I will always be happy that the original WoW existed and I'll always be glad to play it on official servers.

Those are the things i miss the most, not having flight and fast travel pretty much, because they made me roam the world, and get to know it, and everything in it, now you just fly there or teleport where you want to go. So i would still prefer the LK expansion, specially because i don't care about top raid stuff, just the world and quests and PVP, but i can see how those paid stuff can be an annoyance with those GDKP runs in the way. It's good to see you back in WoW mate.

Great to have you back. I too have returned, to classic wow hardcore. There's just something about it that makes it feel so incredibly like vanilla with the way you play the game. It's great not feeling like you have to be 60 and already have pre raid BiS or you're left in the dust. I'm loving the chill leveling but also stressful reminder that if you die it's back to level 1!

Hey Madseason, i just wanted to say your videos inspired me to work through my anxieties (back when classic 2019 launched) toward abtaining the corrupted ashbringer as a ret palladin, I've played wow since cata, and I'd never raided due to my insecurities, but i did it, I did full raid progression all the way from MC to Nax, and met some cool people who helped me to obtain my dream weapon. That adventure showed me the kind of things you can do if you cast aside all obstacles, and believe in yourself, and because of that lesson im now also trying my heart out making monetized KZfaq content! So World of Warcraft and you by extension changed my life. Thank You.
