Yeah, its all royalty free music to make the show cheaper I'm pretty sure. A lot of shows, like Spongebob, use these songs too for what I assume makes it cheaper. But you're right, the use of really uplifting music contrasts really nicely with the shows themes. It's really a win win for them.

I never fully grasped the metaphor in this scene until recently. Frank is the scheming upper class, Dennis is the genteel middle class, Mac & Charlie are the rough & uneducated working class. The dog and the limes are divisive "culture wars" issues like abortion, religion, race, etc. The money is, of course, the money.

Precisely, Frank is Capital and Mac and Charlie are Labor. Dennis could simply be the political class but private managerial class/middle class as a whole works as well. In either case the message would be to reject false consciousness (limes/culture wars) and embrace class consciousness. Unfortunately satire doesn't work.

I love the duality of Frank: Here Frank shows clairvoyance and is aware of his surroundings, being the one that handles all the money, and keeps the other four from really uniting against them by playing on their clear insecurities or manipulable flaws Then in ones like “Being Frank” and “Charlie’s Mom Has Cancer” show the dual half. The short goblin almost senile trash man who gets duped just as easily, and a according to my rewatch count, has lost 6 pairs of shoes.

@@Clembo You do know there is still active discrimination against certain social groups. For example, homelessness shelters were allowed to turn away LGBT persons, some Large cities in Southern states have been forced to close down polling locations, the police are still allowed to carry out arrests for petty non-violent offences and to seize property, the US constantly breaks international law while enforcing its immigration regulations and employers have been allowed to refuse to cover reproductive health in the name of 'religious belief'. Social issues aren't petty. They are only petty for the unaffected.
