I turned off the comments because they were negatively affecting my mental health. The amount of attention this video has received is way more than I’m used to and it has been causing A LOT of anxiety.
The majority of the comments and criticisms I received are 100% valid. I still think there are small steps we can take to improve upon the issues I brought up. I also acknowledge that I may have contradicted myself by saying something along the lines of “I don’t care about this stuff as much anymore” and “I just shut my brain off for this stuff”. (Could have worded that differently) I’m not trying to hide the fact that I have taken some missteps in this whole thing. The only thing I want to hide is myself.
I never wanted my channel to be known for stirring up controversy. In all honesty, I wish I hadn’t been the one to bring all this up. I just wanted to vent to my small (but wonderful) audience then go back to my usual lighthearted, goofy content. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to do that with the one video I didn’t want to be known for getting so much attention.
It’s great that these issues are being discussed now. However, I just wish someone who’s less prone to anxiety would have been the one to bring all this up. I can’t handle it 😭
