I felt that when you said you go on so many 2 kills but can never get the third. Its so annoying having to do 25. I’d rather have 25 with the knife and 10 with the shield.

After doing my shield and knife I everytime I see a shielded enemy and only using the shield, I just let them get a free kill, knife was so easy and actually fun

I wanted to throw my PC out of the window, but then the game decided to bless me with a ''Korean Savage type'' lobby and I managed to get more than half of the progress of ''Get 3 kills without dying'' in that single match. Knife on the other hand was a breeze, did it in under a hour on Shipment.

While doing my riot shield I only had like 18 or so 3 kills without dying left to do and after like 4 matches hardcore shipment I got 2 so I was about to uninstall the game. I decide to play one more game and this dude on the opposite team is also grinding the shield, so we have this shield off and he turns around for me to kill him we then met up in the middle container, killed each other three times like I kill him 3 times then he kills me three time. This happened without communication just with a few friendly teabags that dude is literally my hero

I’ve found in my day or so of grinding gold on the shield that when you jump, sprint, or crouch you’ll get shot through your shield. Everyone runs Semtex and thermite. And when you slide there’s about half a second of time where you’ll get shot through your shield. There’s also a delay when you melee with the shield before the enemies take damage... not a fun experience.

I personnaly had a great experience grinding the shield, once in a Shipment game I asked for help to another guy grinding his shield in the ennemy team, which he accepted and so we wen't on the middle container and we kept coming until someone in my team decided to stop us. He was insulting us by voice. But everyone noticed and stood for us and both team literally went to help us grinding our shields. This is how I maxed my triples in 1 game and got it to Gold. Such solidarity gave me tears in my eyes... MW's community isn't so bad after all!

Knife was probably easy because after the riot shield SBMM thought you were a bot.

I had by far my most success in finishing shield skulls to be in hardcore kill confirmed doing the map Crash. Just camp on the bottom floor of the restaurant in the little closet. Keep both doors closed and use a heartbeat sensor. You hear one the doors open , go find the target and bash them. Used the hack perk too. Lots of people snipe from roof and think they’re safe with a claymore or two, but not if you hack em.

The first 40-ish seconds are so relatable. Finished it yesterday. The 3 kills without dying took me longer than all the other challenges of the Riot Shield combined.

i didn’t have a struggle with the riot shield, a tip i wish someone had told me prior to my grand was to go into hardcore 10v10. you see, most people won’t try and go back just to thermite you because they’re busy with the objective making it easy to pick players off one by one for your 3 kills without dying challenge. i could bang out 5-8 3 kills without dying easily in a single game.

The riot shield made me want to rip my hair out. I was legitimately so upset whenever I used it. I actually had to take breaks because of how annoying it actually was. At one point, my 3 kill streaks were glitched and wouldn’t progress. Thankfully I finished it within 3 days.

Between getting insta killed by thermites, getting killed through the shield, and barely getting progress half the time. This is one of the biggest hurdles for damascus camo. It would take so long for the average player to complete this without shipment.

3:30 - The reason this happens is the same reason the FAL has been broken this past season. One word; buffering. Using the FAL as an example, if you click/press trigger at any point after the initial shot, it buffers the next shot and will immediately follow up with it. So if you spam the trigger, instead of missing windows of opportunity and reducing your rpm compared to your trigger rate, you can easily keep the next shot buffered and turn the semi-auto gun into a 500 RPM canon with no recoil and a sizeable oneshot headshot range in core modes. Same thing happens with the Riot Shield, except it's infinitely more frustration. It seems like the Riot Shield has a delay between when you press the button, and when your attack actually happens (feels similar to the Open Bolt delay in some LMG's and the magnum), which exacerbates everything. If you press melee a SINGLE time after the first button press, including those frames where it seems nothing is happening because your attack hasn't gone through, you are locked into a second attack, leaving you slowed, exposed, and helpless. I 100% believe that the game would be in a better place if they reduced the buffer window to a fraction of a second before a second attack is possible, or if the buffering was removed entirely (or selectively).

Literally finished skulls easily on the hackney yard, once you get that building empty, shut all the doors, you just camp the door where they come in at the start, then rotate to the inner door, the upstairs door, or any of the other corners in the upstairs or downstairs. The crouch kills were annoying.

I just got the shield done, here’s some tips for the skulls: Your best bet is probably hardcore. You could try running around on shipment but it’s way too chaotic. I found it much easier to do on larger maps, on objective game modes. Try HC domination and camp hidden near flags. If you hear someone taking it, stun em and go; then hide again. This is slow, but effective. Consider taking restock for your second perk. I tried going big brain with battle hardened on my third perk, going into a group of enemies and stunning the ground, but it never really worked, but it could be useful if you toss the stun just a little too close to yourself. You may wanna go with the trophy system and play near it, and while this does help a lot, sometimes I found myself dying to the detonations anyways. Much more reliable on core. I recommend you take dead silence too, use it to rush enemies FROM BEHIND. NEVER sprint at an enemy facing you. You will die. Take it slow. Crouch when you’re away from an enemy to conceal your feet while closing the gap or retreating, and stand when you’re near. If you stay crouched while they’re close to you they can jump and shoot you easily, but getting your legs is harder. For this, consider double time, which allows you to move faster while crouching, although I personally took EOD. Jumping from side to side can help dodge grenades, but it’s risky. Honestly the best tip I got is the first one. I was trying way too hard to get it done on shipment and it just wasn’t happening. I got much progress there but it was really frustrating and inconsistent. Eventually tried HC dom camp near flags strat and saw myself dying less and getting a little more progress.

Just so you know, sliding kills dont count as crouched, you need to be crouched.

Finally, a realistic experience with the riot shield, insane how many content creators play against AI bot like players allowing 7 kill streaks with riot shields without being seen or shot at.

Officially I started the riot Shield today and I got all the camos done and just working on skulls. updated I completed it on the same day.

I feel your pain with the 3 streak challenge. I played hardcore shipment for about 3 hours and got it. Honestly not that bad. Core for the knife. I had people coming up to me letting me kill them without me asking in the lobby lmao. This community is great

skulls took me the longest. just camp in the center shipping container on hardcore shipment and wait for enemies to spawn in the corner. i was able to knock out 2-3 camos per game.

I know the struggles with the shield so when I was playing a few days ago I saw someone sitting in the corner with a shield and I kept going going to him to let him kill me

I got the riot shield gold this morning after about a week (probably a full day in-game) of grinding. I noticed it would give me skull camos even though I didn't get 3 kills yet for that life, and nearly all the dead silence camos were not actually gotten during dead silence, so a lot of the challenges are glitched to be easier. Anyway, just 3 launchers and the knife left until Damascus.

I've been stuck on the 3 kill streaks on the shield 😭 I finished the knife and all the pistols and I'm still at 9

Honestly, the melees weren’t that bad, the ones that were the most painful were the launchers

This was totally me doing the shield, both the rage and the unbridled joy when I completed it. Knife is easy by comparison, hardest one there is the crouching as sliding doesn't count but still fairly simple.

The 3 kills without dying was what I was stuck on until some nice people came and helped me from the other team.

Can you get the shipment map every time you do the matchmaking or do you need to leave the game until you get the map

I’ve been cursing the damn developers all day the frustration is real but this is why when you see somone with Damascus it’s like 🤜 RESPECT

I did it in around 4 hours starting at level 12 riot shield playing the 10v10 shipment. All I did was stay in the red and blue containers at either side of the map depending on where I spawned and I just crouched behind the door that's closed. I positioned myself so that side where the two doors were open was to the left of my screen, trying to see to the right as much as possible and listening for footsteps coming from the right. The "get kills while using dead silence" camos were glitched; didn't use dead silence a single time and got them all. The "get kills while the enemy is near smoke" was also glitched; only killed around less than 10 people around smoke. The "execute finishing moves on enemies" was also glitched; didn't execute a single enemy with the riot shield. The "kill three enemies without dying" was also glitched; sometimes, it would count more than what I got in game. If you don't have riot shield yet, now's the time to get it. Hope this helped.

Nothing is more infuriating than when you hit with the shield and it doesn't register. Instead the opponent ends up on top of your shield or you somehow wrap around and exposing your back to the rest of opposing team. It also doesn't help that i did my shield in normal game mode along with launchers...

The JokR (and all of the launchers for that matter) are really the things that gave me trouble

I felt your pain man. The riot shield took forever to get gold on and and the grind was miserable. Doesn’t help that I didn’t have shipment either.

Earlier today i met another guy on the opposite team struggling with the 3 kills w/out dying with the riot shield. We met up in the office. Got into a fight then realized we both want the same thing. He let me kill him 3 times. After the third time i put my riot shield away and saluted him when he came back. In the end we helped eachother get 4 3 kill streaks. Good guy and glad we could work together lol

I just got done with the three kills without dying. It’s pure hell when they spawn behind u when you’re about to get that third. Or just magically get a head shot through a still shield

After the release of the obsidian camo, I wanted it on the shield. I didn`t have any camos on it yet, but with 2xp and shipment+shoot house I got gold on the shield in just a couple of hours. Then it was getting 750 kills. Over only 2 days I managed to go from unused shield to obsidian shield. It`s been a real one.

I can honestly say riot shield is one of my favorite weapons in cod. I rlly enjoyed getting in shield battles w ppl and jumpslamming them

btw the launchers are more painful then the riot shield but to let you know when you need ground base vehicles or killstreak have EOD on and everything that is Aerial killstreaks will count except UAV. another thing is you don't have to fully destroy tanks you only have to get an assist on them

Finished Damascus a little over a week ago and the shield was last. Those 3 kills were so annoying. I was a thermite magnet. And EOD was not saving me from any explosives.

I got that done in one day. My Damascus camp grind went by so damn fast I barely even noticed
