You realize that the slaps are usually comic, right? Meaning they don't actual count for anything.... why is common sense ignored when it comes to that specific fact??? It's literally just a style of comedy, not a lack of common sense. The comic slap doesn't actually count for anything.... So it also doesn't count as a lack of common sense. Taking it seriously on the other hand means you are lacking common sense, because it's supposed to be slapstick you don't take seriously....
