The Great Room Is FINISHED! | Building Onto The Interior Of Our Off Grid Home

We have officially finished the great room in our off grid home! Not only did we complete the built in entertainment system but our couch finally got delivered. Although we are off grid, we love being able to enjoy the occasional family movie night and having a cozy place for the 5 of us to sit and enjoy the views out the front window wall and the wood stove. We are one step closer to having our entire house finished and starting to build on the bedroom wing!

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while we building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.

Cherish every moment with chuckie. This past June we had to put our 14 yr old dog down. It's not easy. Still miss him everyday. This will be the first time in 14 years he's not here for Christmas. My wife would wrap up dog toys for him and he would unwrap them like a little kid. I recorded those special moments so we can look back on that.

Earlier this year...I spent an entire weekend watching all of their videos on their other channel, and they have remained the same humble, involved, quirky-cool-couple, today. They're extremely smart, a former school teacher and an electrician. I don't know them personally, but I can say...the reason why their channels have grown so quickly is because people are grasping for an escape and a simpler way of living with integrity. They're a good example of "hard-work" will always pay off, and a great example for their kids. I wish them nothing but continued good health, prosperity and joy. Well done you 2+3, well done!!

Our dog is 17or 18 years old. Love her she also is hard of seeing and deaf and back legs are failing. I’ve build massive steps so she can still get up in bed with us. They loved us for years time to love on them now.

I love seeing Chuck. I had to put my pug down 3 years ago and I still haven't had to the heart to "replace" him. Chuck reminds me of the great old dog that was my best buddy for 15 years. The house is really coming together! What an amazing accomplishment... Looking forward to more Chuck and the back side of the house.

Everyone before me has said what I would say in the positive. I have only one other thing that comes from my heart is that when Chucky passes, I for one of many I suspect will cry. His part in this family has had a great effect on us and that comes from the feeling that can't be just simply put into words. Chucky must live on some way even after he is gone.... The turkey will most likely join up with all in Rainbow Heaven for sure. May your lives be long and joyful

I really loved the natural wood, but now that the house is completed I love the white walls even more. You now instead of having just a house, you have a home filled with warmth, and love. Can't wait to see what the next big project will be, the addition of a place to call your own bedroom.

I have to say, You guys are so awesome that when I look at other off the grid people, They don't come close with the dedication, respect, and most of all full of LOVE. The sun shine because of the Love that your home brings. You guys are amazing, thank you for educating many of us. As for the TV. Get your self a Amazon Fire Stick. You get Allot of movies for FREE. Plug it in the HDMI, register it and of you go. Now be careful, when you register it make sure you put in Parent Control. Many Movies I do not let the kids see.
