Can I adress the fact that no one answers Jeremy's questions in the end of his videos no more? My favorite horror movie is Trick r Treat. My least favorite is the Grudge. Not because it's a bad movie, but because I saw it when I was 10 and this spirit haunted my nightmares for like 10 years. (Not anymore tho)

This movie was a remake of a horror movie, released in the beginning of January, got the MPAA rating before any trailers were released, and didn’t have any screenings for critics. I’m not surprised this movie was terrible.

My favorite horror movie is The Strangers, just because of the pure memories of seeing it opening weekend. We were all intrigued by the trailer- very well done. Went and saw it and HOLY SHIT was the theatre packed. None of my friends could sit next to each other because we all had to find whatever random seats we could find. The first moment when Liv Tyler’s character pulled the back door curtain back the fuckin roof of the theatre blew off with how loud people were screaming. Such a genuinely great crowd pleaser. The worst for me is One Missed Call. It’s the only movie I’ve ever walked out on and asked for a refund. And I was one of the last people to leave. People were walking out in DROVES. I felt bad for the theatre.

The grudge's spirit is based around a Japanese folklore. The ghost from the Ring is also loosely based around the same original ghost story. Also, all the Grudge movies jumped forwards and backwards. When I saw the trailers I wrote out what was essentially an entire essay about how I knew it'd be bad. From how Kayako's appearance wasn't as striking (and grimy for some reason) leaning into her screen presence losing impact, how Toshio wasn't anywhere to be seen in the trailers which meant that smaller scenes would have to be handled by Kayako which would also go to lessen the impact of having her appear, heck I even went into how "the sound" was different from how it should be. As a person who studied the methods of horror behind everything pertaining to the grudge so that I could perfectly grasp how she terrorized my childhood, I'm a little bit upset to see it reduced to just this. At the very least, no more childhoods should be ruined because of her after this, so I guess there's an upside.

Haven’t seen the original or remake of The Grudge. I feel like my favorite is a bit odd, considering there’s a lot that I do like, but my favorite is Jacob’s Ladder. It really stuck with me. I enjoy a movie that keeps me guessing what might be going on, and has me wanting the ending to find out what it all was (but I’m also not bored with what I’m watching and just wanting it to wrap up). And like Psycho, even though I know what it is, I still want to watch the film again. If I had to pick a least favorite, the only ones that come to mind at the moment would be between Shut In or The Boy. They’re likable and re-watchable, at least for me, but they’re not ones I would be eager to throw on or talk about much. It’s just kinda the ones you put on the list to say you saw them.

The Bye Bye Man was trash. I think everyone was on drugs with the way they acted

Fallen!!! Remember renting that from Blockbuster and loving it! "Time is on my side, yes it is." Hands down on of my favorite Denzel Washington movies.
