I would say John is more like Wilt and Devon is more like Jordan. Devon added so much exposure and fans to arm wrestling while John will become something mythical over time.

I wouldn’t say such as a bad day for Devon, more like a good day for Ron Bath, and the format for this tournament is insane!! And man to be as cocky as Travis, holy I’m sure everyone in the room would’ve loved to see Travis go down. And you can tell Devon still had a lot to learn and that’s what he was doing here, he learned a great amount During this tournament and it would be a great day when Devon who spoke so highly of Travis to go on to beat him almost at will. Thanks for sharing this love the excitement!!

This version of johns was very solid and strong i think compare to athletes nowadays none of them could beat him including Devon also only levan with so much weight difference.but if levan was lighter he could also lose because John back then he was in his prime full package endurance strength explosion everything

Not a fan how the American team kept giving each other free rounds! Just put fresher guys against more tired guys! Also really not a fan of John and Travis not pulling each other either. Other than that it was a great day of pulling. This pushed Devon to turn into a savage. Thanks for the video. Stay strong and healthy 💪

But i don't know why John Brzenk give victory to Travis? i know he can smash Travis easly, but why he didn't do that?

i actually think travis was stronger this particular time they arm wrestled which is why john gave him the match. travis was a pretty bad dude around 06 and i believe john was coming back from retirement after losing to alexey in 05. john became really really strong again afterwards in 07-08

I wish I would have pursued arm wrestling! I’ve had 100’s of matches and nobodies ever come close to beating me except ‘Once’ when I was 17 and arm wrestled against my cousin who made the semi finals at Petaluma. He weighed 305 lbs to by 185 lbs. He pinned me 4x straight the last match went for nearly 3 minutes and his nose starting bleeding LOL.

He was KNOWN for doing that back then. And he got away with it quite a bit. At the time, I used to think he relied entirely on speed as it took me a bit before I saw him in a longer match. I know today it's not true, but at one time I did think that.
