We can say what we want about Travis but he most often backed it up. He is a genetic freak with his fast twitch explosion. Travis is a legend, and top 5 or 10 heavyweight ever.

Because back then AW as a whole wasnt famous like today most arm wrestlers have 2 or 3 jobs in brzenk days but now they focus and many more guys are into it

20 years undefeated at 198lb class, and rarely lost even against giant HW guys. It's truly unprecedented in any sport.

@@altair227 so ? Brzenk himself had a full time job..others were not at a disadvantage compared to him..there was no real money in the sport..if the incentives were different, John could have focused on it a lot more and been a lot better

@@karuonline3294 john full time job wasn't physical as he himself said. And his genetics>almost all thats why he dominated big hands/thick wrist and built for it. he love the sport its his passion. He was a legend no doubt but even then most guys were amatuers few were pros.

Amazing footage! They mention here that John was UNDEFEATED on the right hand for the last 20 years in this weight class (198). That's just astounding. Travis was looking great here too.

Do you mean Todd Hutchings? If so, I agree. John was undefeated, according to the announcers, at this weight class for the last 20 years. Hutchings was the only guy to even give him any problems. A few months before this event, Todd won on fouls against John.

He was not totally wrong..John was past his physical prime and unfortunately spent most of his career in an era where the sport offered no real money.. things changed around the mid 2000s..if the incentives were better, he could have focused a lot more on arm wrestling, trained hard away from the table to develop specific aspects further He still had some of his best years from 2006-2009 fighting the new breed of arm wrestlers who were dabbling in PEDs and were gym rats ..
