@@donroman5702 not really. In that draft we were dead set on 2 DT’s. Not speaking from opinion it’s been said by our GM. Ndamakong Suh was the sought after guy. Elite pass rusher and run stopper when he needed to be. And he proved that in Detroit. Detroit took him right before we could. The 2nd guy on the board was McCoy. GM wasn’t sold on him. But he was the best available. And while he had a good career stat wise with us and community at the time liked him. He wasn’t the leader we thought he could have been. And that’s fine n all. But fast forward from that draft to last season. We let McCoy go. And finally get Suh to come. And with Suh we attained the number 1 rush defense. Even with a weak secondary who were still learning. And for anyone who wants to say. Well Suh also had vita vea. So did McCoy. And he wasn’t as effective as Suh was in his game. Suh elevated the defense to another level. Specifically the d line. McCoy never did that the entire time he was a bucc. Suh did that at 32 years old on a 1 year deal. Suh is and has been the better DT since that draft. And it continues to show. McCoy left, and the way he left was unspoken/bitter. Tampa bay felt the tension with McCoy. We all felt it. He was on our team. We could hear it in his interviews. And next thing you know. He was cut. Went to division rivals Carolina. He could have been offered a contract with any team at that time. Chose to go to Carolina. Then at that time said he wanted to win. Got cut and went to the cowboys. Got hurt (which happened frequently when he was with us) and got cut. Now he’s a free agent. His former team just won the super bowl. He said he wants to come back. He just wants to win. Based on what I just told you if you read it all, what would you say as a fan? And that’s not even half of it honestly. He’s thrown jameis Winston under the bus on bad games too. Trust me we have seen all the interviews McCoy did every preseason, pre game, post game, off season. You name it. He was a big piece for us on Tampa. He was one of the big names we had during this decade. But he had a shitty didn’t give a shit attitude as a bucc. And with the culture we have changed into since he left along with other cancers I’ll just name one, Vernon Hargreaves (former number 1 pick too), we don’t need him. Shouldn’t want him to come back. I hope he doesn’t. I can guarantee you most buccs fans don’t and wouldn’t buy his jersey. He’s an after thought to buccs fans. A good majority of us atleast.

@@PrettyMuchCarnage dude..you layed it out. I now understand. I always have been a SUH fan even when he did some dirty deeds. But thats the game in the heat of competition. I really didnt k ow much about mcvoy. Well hopefully he can get on another team. I am with you on tbe Buccs. They got great chemistry right now. They should not muck with it. Can you imagine another Super Bowl? It would be the beginning of a dynasty.

He was a jackass when he left . Bruce actually wanted him back. McCoy cried about a number and thought he needed to be in the Bucs ring of honor. Lol, it was a very unprofessional ending on McCoys part.

As bucs fan nothing annoyed me more than this man getting a sack or a TFL and helping the other team up after every play. Football is the most violent team sport . I don't want my trench dogs being sweet hearts with QBs And RBs . Suh wasn't nice , now he's a champion wearing no. 93.

Dak is worthless. Jerry should use the matching franchise tag and let him test the market. No one in the team would pay Dak even 30 mil a year. Jerry is becoming senile.

Sometimes what you are worth doesn’t translate into production. Take less , then maybe back up OL are better. Hard to make it through the year with no starters getting injured. Slippery slope those players live in.

He was frustrated. He was a very good player but they needed more than him to win - and they put it all on him. That wasn't fair and after a while he got burned out by that. He needed to go when he did. It had ran its course. However, now that he's been out there on different squads - played the role as the journeyman - maybe he can come back as a role player and get that winning taste that he was denied all those years. He's not Suh - not the same kind of player. Suh has a mean streak - plays angry - a man of few words who demonstrates through actions. Gerald is a philosopher - a troubadour. Bucs won't let him back unless its on a sweetheart deal, though. Will he play for that or go elsewhere? Bucs have obligations to bring back Suh, Fournette and Brown before they bring him in. They would have to make another roster move to make that work (which they kind of have to do anyway) - unless the three previously named players go elsewhere on their own accord. That could happen with Suh, Fournette - a little less likely with Brown. I wouldn't mind seeing Gerald come back - see what damage he can do lining up with Vea, Barrett and JPP. He would never get double teamed. I'm sure a lot of DTs are thinking right now that's a good spot to come into. Gerald knows its a great opportunity, but he's going to have competition. There will be players out there that know its a great showcase opportunity - go to the playoffs - get one on ones all year long and come out of it looking great for another deal. Bucs are in no hurry to sign that spot - they have leverage. They could draft a guy there too. Maybe Suh comes back? Who knows?

Chris Godwin got 14 MILLION DOLLARS for being Franchised. For the people who watch the games, buy the tickets, thats 14 families that could retire. So when they say they still need to get payed, I lose respect. Especially when the QB i have been following for 21 years takes pay CUTS so a team can win. McCoy isnt about Team. Dont need him in Tampa.

Only people who don’t make money complain about this. You’re worth how much you make your boss. Just look at his jersey sales alone has to be more then 14 million. It’s a business and also Brady can take a cut because his wife makes 40 million, that’s why he can do it. Don’t act like you’re a bucs fan now all of a sudden patriots fans hahahah.
