This was extremely informative and interesting. You two did a great job explaining the terms and by including the slides enabled me to get a much better understanding of the subject and how to talk to my engine machine shop going forward. I will be checking out the remainder of these Trackside Tech Talks as the season progresses. Many thanks for sharing this information.

Is there any manufacturer creating super hard smooth surfaces and then etching the perfectly spaced and angled cross hatch pattern, including depth, with high powered high precision laser?

How long would it take to platue if the Rvk was about 59 and you didn't use platue mode? You just let the ring cut the Plate
