This is one of the best doctors I've ever seen on KZfaq as well with Doctor Juan Couto of Spain. The only way I can afford Dr. Blake Bloxham and Feller is I have to win the lottery first. But for sure by the time I won the lottery, my hair is all gone.

I'm on Long Island. Tempted to visit Dr. Bloxham. I had a successful transplant, 1400 hairs, 20 years ago; holding up well, but I'd like to fill it in more. Wish I'd had 2,400 hairs back then.

Using 4000 grafts for a small area like seems ridiculous at first, but when you see the impeccable result combined with donor preserving FUT harvesting, you know it was worth it. Even hair transplant aficionados would not think this guy had a transplant.

@@HowToZoneHD lol not my pick for surgery but some people like him. I will say this, I would put my 1.50-$2 a graft fue results up against his fut work any day pf the week. lol athough this one is nice his hailine designs are not the best. cheers!! mate!!!

I'm surprised you guys aren't more bullish about finasteride. This patient is still young, and could likely have more recession in behind the transplanted grafts in the years to come. I hope he's on some kind of preventative treatment.

Agreed. Not sure if they're worried about the Comments section blowing up with Big Pharma talk or PFS reports. Finasteride isn't a perfect drug, but we're still in really primitive times for hair loss and restoration. I really think responding to and tolerating finasteride should almost be a prerequisite for an HT.

I agree completely that the hairline is extremely well done, and for a transplant, it's pretty much perfect. But saying that as a Dr. you wouldn't be able to detect that it's a transplant isn't completely fair imo. However well it's done, hairs from the occipital region are just coarser than native hair right at the edge of the hairline, so it doesn't look as soft. Normally there is a gradient between hairless forehead -> ultra soft baby-like hairs -> full diameter hairs, whereas with a transplant the transition is just a bit harsher as it goes from a hairless forehead straight to full diameter hairs. Not that it's a big problem, but a surgeon would still be able to see it.

why my slightly crooked hairline is more noticeable than the hair loss of this guy ?? this guy hairline is GONE there is only a few "spartan hair" who survived in the very front line and holding tight ...I guess it's because of his haircut and straight hair ( he can cover it )..I have curly hair and I can't style it. I want to reshape that front hairline and get that younger sharp shape

Just an observation from a bald man: the hairline needs to be feathered and the temples need to be filled out fully for the "Hollywood" effect.

Prior to growth, do these guys where hats when it public. The plugs are obvious for months. That’s a lot of harvesting.

29-32 years old is fairly young to be so aggressive. He will have a lot more balding by the time he’s 45 and you already used close to 4000 grafts.

K I didn’t say the balding was aggressive. The hair transplant is aggressive. The balding is progressive - meaning he will continue to bald a little bit every year for the rest of his life.

@@igloo2862 Only partially correct. It is wise to assume more hairloss *will* occur, however this depends on the individual's medical therapy. I've been on Finasteride for 3 years and have much better hair quality than when I started or even one year into it. Without the aid of a 5ar-inhibitor I personally wouldn't even recommend a transplant to *anybody* unless their loss is minimal and fairly predictable.
