William III was a very cruel man. Queen Sophie's three sons died. William III's burial was fitting: a farcical end. His casket had to be dragged from the palace as it was too heavy, and the rubbish horse cart refused to move to let the hearse through. His nickname was 'King Gorilla', he had syphillis too. Their little son Maurits died when he was 4 years old of meningitis. Sophie did not trust William's royal physician and he in turn refused to let the doctor Sophie chose to treat his own son (I live in the Netherlands btw).

When you said she was born in Stuttgart I jumped for joy because I was born in a small town twenty minutes away from there. I went to the castle where she was born. It is Huge. There is a museum there with so many things inside that it would take a person two days to see all of it. It has been a year since I have visited my family. I live in a state that I can't stand being in. Mississippi is that state. Alas, I can't leave because of my three kids that live here in the same state. I miss my hometown in Germany.

So often children are taught to glamorize the "princess" lifestyle. That really does many real royal women a grave disservice, and only makes girls discontented with their own seemingly mundane lives. In truth, many princesses and queens lived under uncomfortable, difficult, and dangerous conditions (sometimes from their own family members), and had sad, stressful, and sometimes even rather short lives and painful deaths. The best that can be said of some of them is that they had the moral strength, courage, intelligence, and piety to make the best of bad situations. Having a crown on ones head does not guarantee happiness.

Certainly wearing her wedding gown at her burial says it all.

First her husband was jealous of her intelligence. After their marriage his treatment of her was shameful, his parents or whoever taught him was a horse’s back side.

Thankyou for doing more recent/modern cases.They are ones we know little of. I did find your script a little repitative, lacking some more expansion in areas, but covering cases such as these Im finding VERY interesting. The medieval ones have often been covered by historians for decades now, but more recent (200 years or so) ones seemed to have considered not as interesting. Would love to hear more of 19thC European royals. Such a tragic life...would love for it to have been longer!!

You don't need to have HORRIFIC BRUTAL etc in capital letters. Give the audience some credit for having intelligence for god's sake. I really despise clickbait tactics for getting views.
