It’s good that you’re a politics nerd. Sadly in America politics are dystopian in that people don’t want to get involved or there’s Antifa on the left that want to destroy society by becoming good Marxist. Who knows what the right is doing seeing that the federal government has whittled away at the second amendment to keep a militia so who knows. It is fun to watch.

Listening to this at night, as you began describing the old woman I heard a knocking on the conservatory door. I jumped out of my skin looking towards the sound and saw nothing. @@viciousKev You know, the whole idea, and mentioned in the clip, is that it amplifies emotions. You can offer buckwheat cookies. Look it up, they are called Hrisca around the balkans. The same type of buckwheat bread has been mentioned around faeries around europe, with some mentions of it & faeries in UK too. You get more of what you bring, so it might just be me making connections, but at the end of the day, it is the kind of mental baggage that differentiates an honest bread offering from one soaked in blood. If you think blood makes it more appealing, you'll get those who think blood is appealing.

I think we should have a Tape Library field trip to Transylvania and visit this forest. It's crazy to think that a forest can be so peaceful and horrifying at the same time. Hello TTL, phenomenal video. I live in Cluj and have been in Hoia-Baciu more than a hundred times since 2008. It’s funny how close to the growing city this forest is and is by no means dense or outwardly objectively foreboding yet I can confirm nearly all phenomena you highlighted here. I’ve camped and hiked my whole life and have experienced many harrowing supernatural things in the wilds but no other place comes close to this forest for me. Now 95% of time, it’s a quaint little wood right next to the city, filled with hickers, visitors, families and their pets and the cityscape sounds very familiar close by. Yet it’s those 5% that the High Strangeness goes from 0 to 1000 in an instant. To keep it short, I experienced ufo sightings, Sasquatch and Wilderness Poltergeist phenomenon, shadow people, phantom dogs apparitions, getting eerily lost numerous times, orbs floating through trees, flashes of light in the woods at night, growls, disembodied voices, screams of horses right next to me that weren’t there, batteries draining instantly, technical glitches and the worst fits of nausea and headaches I’ve ever had including radiation burns. My top 3 most unnerving experiences to me are the footsteps - compared to the others this sounds tame, but I cannot describe the terror when they appear and how they play with you. 2nd is flutes playing at night - it feels like daggers to the spine when you hear it. But by far thr worst is my only Missing Time experience, where I lost ten+ hours and my memory is just blacked out, it feels strangely violating. Much too much to write here but grateful nonetheless for the opportunity and I greatly appreciate how you used actual footage of the woods and not the silly footage that is so prevelant online, how you brought up Sift, Patrut ( who was my uni Chemistry teacher lol ) and even the neolithic settlement. Some last thoughts: the phenomena moves around the place, never staying still, so sometime the Clearing is chill while another place is ‘hot’ and viceversa. It’s never consistent. Locals that have grown up in the rural area around the woods, flatout refuse to go there and I now agree with them. Also I never go there unless invited by others, as a sort of guide and I never go without offering gifts of bread and drink to the Spirits. Yes, the trees are utterly eerie - some burned, some sick, twisted, horizontal sorry things. And yeah, this is basically the Transylvanian Skinwalker Ranch, even though it is absurdly close to a large, half a million city. Careful y’all out there, treat the Unknown with respect and decorum and it usually does the same in return. Thank you again, TTL and to anyone who had the patience to read.

Well that is interesting, I live in Canberra, and I went for a walk in this place where there are plenty of people and kangaroos. It's near a new suburb, and I think it's all gone now. I was looking for mushrooms, magic's, and a few people passed me on the way out as you have to cross a bridge. A pack of roos went hopping past me, which is odd as they usually stay away from you, everything went quite and I started to feel weird, like don't keep going. I went back there a few weeks later and it was fine. The strange thing is how close it was to civilisation, like there was a new shopping centre on the other side of the bridge. I know there's stories of Yowies further out, but I wouldn't think they could be so close if they exist. It was a pine forrest btw, there's fences that you can easily climb over into gum tree scrub.

@@cloverazar5315 Great question - I appreciate it. There actually was a moment back in 2018 when a shady construction agency on behalf of who knows what real estate deal, started digging at the top of the hill right next to the woodland line. Now this would actually be quite illegal as it's a national protected biodiversity site because of the flora & fauna, yet it just goes to show the greed and corruption to local city government has when it comes to out of control real estate. You can actually see the digging in the video - at the 19:10 mark, at the bottom left of the screen, a rectangular trench can be spotted just below the path next to the forest. Well, the citizens protested and the project was abandoned ( for now ) and it hasn't resumed in the last 6 years. But who knows for how long. The people will fight as so many use the area for recreation purposes, various rituals there for usually pagan faiths, lotsa families and tourists and their pets and also, there's so many animals there from eagles to deer to boars, foxes and even wolves. We'll see, it would be a huge shame. Now, if you know some paranormal lore, there is a thing around disturbing a 'sacred' window area like this that is a big no-no. For example, in Skinwalker Ranch, there is a taboo around digging on the property. And I think Hoia-Baciu is no exception. As exactly when the digging started - Summer/Autumn of 2018 - is when the activity was off the charts and quite malevolent or reactionary I would say. That is exactly when I had the most harrowing episodes in the woods ( and those kept brining me back to search more ) - strong episodes of sudden sickness, being chased out by ominous terror inducing footsteps and bangs in the woods, ufo flops of bright lights over the trees and the disembodied horse shrieks out of nowhere. Also that is when I eventually had the Missing Time moment that to this day really upsets me. I've also heard ( 2nd hand accounts ) that people who live in a residential area just below the hill, that they often at night see orbs over the trees, see shadow people at the edge of the woods towards their properties and also have heard various anomalous sounds as well as the flute playing that I mentioned previous. Their pets also go awol often at night. I think it was no coincidence that the activity got so gnarly around that time. I would NEVER live so close to that place, as I think, due to the nearby limestone gorge and probable underground water system, the whole hill basically becomes a living battery that can generate electro-magnetic anomalies making it a 'window area' in between here and who knows where and what. So I think we just do not know how that can effect human beings longterm. I also studied at the local Physics University and we went there for measurements, ( yes, with Patrut also ) - place is highly anomalous and with big underground deposits of Quartz, further making me think of the hill being this wormhole terrestrial battery anomaly. Anyways, yeah - like I said, been there way too many times for my own good but most of the time is very chill and quaint and a simple little forest. It's when the HIgh Strangeness starts that is when it turns dangerous in an instant. And I think that if you get exposed to the phenomenon more and more, you get aware of it, and it does of you and then things get weirder, faster and more often. I'd wish people had more respect for Nature and the Unknown and would ask permission before digging up the land or whatnot. Yet we live in the world that we do. Thank you again for reading this with patience and curiosity, whoever does so. Cheers

I watched that episode of "Destination Truth", and it was freaky! The host of the program, Josh Gates, went back there a few years ago for his new show, "Destination X", though I have not yet gotten around to watching that episode. There's also been another American ghost hunting show that went there ("Ghost Adventures"), and they had some weird stuff happen to their equipment too. I think one of the investigators got scratched too, but I don't remember and it's been a while since I watched that episode.

I believe the clearing is a Fairy Circle. Those who walk thru the forest are stepping on a Stray Sod - a fairy that lives in the grass and when you trod on it off you go - literally with the fairies. The way to find your way back is to turn your jacket or shirt inside out. Sometimes when people claim they have seen aliens upon viewing their drawings, the aliens look like fairies. I really enjoyed this episode.

I used to live in Cluj, and been to Hoia lots of times. I have two stories. The first comes from my judo coach. He was mushroom hunting, when he saw a bell shaped light, then he felt like his eyelids where being torn off (or something similar, I can’t remember exactly, then all of a sudden he was flying above an unknown landscape, seeing a large mountain. The second is my brother’s experience. My mother, little brother and I where on a forest road, when I head my brother screaming behind me. I turn around and he’s hysterical (he was about 8-10 yo). He told us that he turned around for some reason, and a cloaked figure in monk robes stood behind him, monstrous face, with a large knife in his hand. I know they weren’t lying, something absolutely happened, but, to be honest, they seem more like hallucinations to me, but who knows.

I’m an old school Destination Truth fan, so I’m super happy you mentioned that episode as it’s probably my favorite one. If you can, find the show Expedition X where Josh Gates sends a team back to the forest and they do ground penetrating radar in the clearing. There appears to be a lot of equally spaced objects under the ground, they speculate it could have been a cemetery. Definitely worth checking out! This forest is so fascinating, excellent video!

Fantastic episode! Eastern Europe has so much legend and lore that I am quite sure there was a plethora of information to sift through. I wonder if perhaps there are Lay lines that could possibly converge there? That is, if one believes in such lines of Energy. There does seem to be a meeting of some sort happening there. Very intriguing and interesting to say the least. If all comes about as one hopes to achieve soon, I shall be able to contribute towards your hard work. Thanks again, sir! Keep them coming! Absolutely loved the documentary! Very well done! There are a lot of videos on Horia Baciu but this is definitely one of the best! Maybe you should look into the giant's skeletons found in a cave in the Bucegi mountains (it's a part of the Carpathian mountains in the north east of Romania). Few years ago a cave was discovered and inside there were skeletons of humans but they were 3-4 metres (7 or 8 feet)! I think they were named "The Giants from Bucegi)! That's almost as interesting although I don't know if you can find enough info for a documentary.... We are big fans of the channel way before you decided to do a documentary on our homeland! ❤

I haven't watched your channel long, but I genuinely enjoy it. In regards to the end of your video, I wish you the best. I for one will definitely still be watching. Secondly, since you brought it up, I am a big fan of Destination Truth and the host's other show, Expedition Unknown. Josh Gates is a tv show host (so his focus is entertainment as much as solving mysteries) and the shows are definitely presented in a way to be thrilling, but I do genuinely think that nothing was faked in those shows. He always seemed honest and had a genuine interest that I think would be hard to fake, giving some trustworthiness to his tv personality.
