what a story.. one time a modder gave me tons of dollars, and a year later, i asked for support from rockstar, for a different issue. So instead of helping me, they completely wiped off my character, claiming that i had improperly gained it, even though it wasnt done by me. What a waste

My experience is always inconsistent, one time I talked to them for a week because I couldn’t get the free collectors bag with Twitch Prime and I talked to what I believe to be a bot over the course of a week and only after the week did they tell me the offer expired.

Rockstar Support: The Ultimate Glitch.

I used to work for a large tech company, (won't name) I lost my job there because I had too long a call and interaction rate even though my customer response and fix rate were above 95%. The current trend in support is to have a less than 1 minute call/email rate. The focus is on speed as the management only care about responses being quick.

Bruh, I've gotten much better support from small mobile games.

The biggest issue that I've ever had with Rockstar Support is when I found out that they have an _unbearably_ stupid "one time compensation" policy in Red Dead Online. Practically every other moonshine sale ends with me getting stuck in a black screen, and when this happens, you don't get the reward and you lose your supplies. The first time I contacted support, they swiftly compensated me. Not one day later, it happened again and support told me I've already used my one time compensation. Players literally get punished for Rockstar's laziness because they don't fix these damn glitches. Their customer support actively and purposely _doesn't_ help people....it's absolutely insane.

This happened to me too all my capitale was gone and I lost all motivation to play the missions after that, rockstar literally does not care about support or any fixing bugs, for example: on gta the cayo perico heist has been buggy and they for some reason took away a keypad on the doors that lead to the rooms with gold which leaves only one keypad by all of them and you still need another person with both keycards to unlock it.

I have a total of like 10 different cases over my history of playing rockstar games and none of them have ever been properly resolved, it got so bad I just uninstalled the game it effected me on whether it was GTA or RDR2

I’m literally having this same issue! I’m playing GTA 5 online and 2 of my cars disappeared from my garage (and before anyone tells me again that my garage didn’t eat my car, you aren’t playing on my account so you have no clue what I’m dealing with.) like a dummy, I put money into it and one of my most expensive cars when missing. I’ve looked everywhere for it. I’ve reloaded the game, I’ve called Mors, I’ve called the mechanic, checked impound lots. It’s just not there. I’ve called Rockstar’s phone number, which shouldn’t even be active because they tell you to go to the website to submit a ticket. I’ve done that 3 times and they just keep emailing me back saying case closed. I’ve emailed, no response. I lost 2 vehicles in a 2 day span! I’m so frustrated that I can’t reach a single person to either get my money back or my cars. Like I’m really about to give up playing at this point.

I accidently bought 6 pyro in gta and asked rockstar for my money back on 5 pyro. They told me to call Pegasus to have then delivered. Then continued to tell me there was no transaction history of me buying 6 pyro even though I have 6 in my hanger. And there transaction history is only back logged by 13. I get the feeling some of the support reps haven't even played gta in there life.

He's a true soldier for hanging in there. I woulda given up after that second response 😂... happy he finally got to a happy ending. It's just sad that he had to go through hoops just to get a simple resolution. It's not like his error was unique or anything. And it's something I came across myself where it kicked me from the mission and I'm sure many of us have come across those two main bugs the loading screen and the game crashes since the update

As someone who used to work for R* Support about 5 years ago those responses sound familiar. All those dumb initial responses are called macros, basically prewritten general responses. You actually do need to spam them with tickets until a Support member sees a certain amount of tickets to the same issue and user. Then and only then will a Tier 3, usually a manager, will come and really solve the issue.

When I was trying to pre-order RDR2 through the R* launcher so i could get the free games with it, every time I tried buying it, it would say that the country I was in wasnt supported or something (didnt have a VPN and live in canada) I brought this up to support and got back a response that basically pointed towards a point in the terms of service saying they have the right to refuse patronage from anyone they choose. When I asked why they were refusing to let me buy the game they just replied with the same quote and said they couldnt tell me the reason why. Eventually I fixed it by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher... useless customer support.

Has anyone else been having issues with customer vehicles in the auto shop? I have had 3 instances of getting to the buyer and it doesn’t register the vehicle at the yellow marker. Also experienced getting a customer vehicle and being unable to modify it.

Hey guys, completely separate question but I'm curious if you can steal & keep Red Ben's Top hat. Because I have either Ben's Top hat or the breckenridge Top hat. No I don't own the breckenridge outfit but I was forced to finish outlaw pass 2 twice because the Maggie meeting was bugged out for me. I bought RD2 the night before my birthday 2/6/2020. The moonshine role was completely bugged on my original character so I had to finish outlaw pass 2 then earn RD$3000 in order to delete my character with enough time & resources to finish outlaw pass 2 a second time. Some time after the reset I noticed the top hat in my wardrobe but the color way is not available in the catalog or tailor anybody know how I got it? I would be happy to provide screen shots for evidence.

I had an issue with personal license plates in GTAV, I had deleted a license plate that was still on several cars, and these cars were making it look like I had duplicated the cars they were on. R* support had no solution for this. We eventually deleted all license plates, which I was hoping would be on the cars, but they deleted the other plates I had created. This made all cars show as duplicates. When I said I wanted to delete the personal plates on the cars, they said, "Oh, we can't do that." Needless to say, I decided I needed money do rebuy all the cars I had, and since I didn't want to grind for it, I turned to a mod menu. Everything is back to the way it was, but I wish I didn't have to go that route to do it.

this is the same for a lot of video game companies now a days. you can send an email to any game company team and the employees are so incompetent. they work there for money so they can go to college so what can you expect. they are reluctantly doing their job.

For 4 days I haven't been able to play gta 5 because of a stupid clothing glitch that won't let me login into my main character. There was a glitch on old Gen to solve this problem "how I ironic right". So now I'm relying on customer support and its been 3 days because I'm getting responses like this guy is getting. Like it's not a internet issues or my xbox cache or even my rockstar account itself it is literally a bug within your game you need to take the commitment to fix because I am unable to do anything. Edit: also I submitted two tickets to them, and I am waiting for every morning to get only one response from both of them and nothing else after responding just waiting every morning

My example of R* support: I had a problem in GTA, Ms Baker wasnt calling me for casino jobs and I couldnt complete secret mission (to start she needs to call You) I have never refused any of her previous calls and have completed all the requirements to start the mission. So I asked if it's glitched or what should I do. I knew they could help me with it like they helped one person with getting armoured paragon again by giving him Ms Baker call. So I thought they might be able to fix this call too. But in response, they told me what are the requirements to start the mission that I already did...

Top Tip: If you need something from Rockstar Support use the message system instead of email you will have to wait awhile but you will always talk to a human

I've got a problem with Launcher and Social Club. It keeps opening in Offline Mode and while I try to enter Social Club website it can't be reached. I'm trying to solve it for almost 3 months and Support just tells me: "we are working on your issue, but we can't say when will we give you solution". I'm getting kinda mad about it, because I bought RDR2 and wanted to have fun with it, but seems they don't give a f**k about my problem

this is a type of bug that has been happening with RDO since the Beta, there were plenty of times that I cleaned my guns and then was kicked back to the main menu, then when I got back to the game, my guns were dirty again but the number of gun oils I had in my inventory had gone down

So I have the same problem with R* and they don’t do their jobs right. My Lancaster Repeater has a bug. I’m trying to change back to the no variant gun and it’s stuck to the collector variant. Sometimes I just wish R* can do their jobs properly. Now I’m here stuck with a hun variant and I can’t customize or change my Lancaster because of a collector variant

My friend bought a car shop in online and lost 50 milion. Rockstar said they couldn't confirm it. Also back in 2017 me and my friend got banned because someone money dropped on us without us wanting that. They didn't help. When the unban came we both got permabanned for no reason. I filmed my whole playthrough after the ban and had level 12 and 12k still go banned. I still have full proof. They said the proof is usless even if I am right all bans are final.

I used to work for a call center/customer support center, for several different brands and companies. We used boilerplate responses ALL THE TIME, but for issues that could be handled with such a response. If you had a bad day, you could reply to a complicated situation with a templated response, but you'd be in *huge trouble* once they complained or asked for a manager, or if QA caught you. The idiots who sent this should be reprimanded or even fired for the controversy this caused Rockstar. I've been assisted by Rockstar in both RDO and GTAO several times and gained all my lost items/money back. This reeks of terrible customer service from a shitty employee.

I've been having problems in GTA5. Missing ammo, cars, apartments, etc for many months. R* gave me the jump through hoops by ten diffrent support associates. Finally they offered me a I thought a good sollution. They told me they would clear my character and reimburse me the losses. Next time I loagged in they had me start at level one ( from 526 ) and stated get to level 5 and we'll put your RP, level, and lost moneys in game. A week later they still haven't done that. Now they will not respond to me. I'm stuck with a level 10, no money, no appartment, etc.

I've had really bad experiences with rockstar support as well. I have definitely gotten that response about the clearing cache several times. One time, I wrote a support ticket to rockstar because my daily challenge streak got reset for no reason, this was back before the dailies got nerfed. The first person that replied to me literally told me to stop complaining, which makes no sense since it was their game that messed up. It took me 10 days to finally get someone that would actually help me, and he did by giving me gold compensation. There are times where I constantly feel like rockstar support simply doesn't even care about the people that play their games.

I recently contacted them to report a bug. As response I basically got the message that they'd have the development team look into it. Followed by telling me while they'd be looking into it they'd close my ticket already. Cause apparently it makes sense to rockstar to close tickets that aren't solved yet......

My arcade lights started blinking, all the arcade lights.. randomly, won't stop, drives me insane. I can barely see the Casino Heist Boards cuz the room goes from dark to light, very intermittent, very fast. I had NINE separate conversations with support, they told me the exact same crap: turn off the PS4, do the R1-L1 BS... it has still not resolved and apparently.. it never will be. They just stroke you along and stroke you along until you just give up...

I had the same issue, first time I loaded the mission up with some friends it booted me off after like a minute, but at least my friends could finish the mission. Still wanted my capitale back though do I sent a ticket. Now I've just been in back a forth with them for over a week and they've been ignoring me for the past 3 days now. Thing is, it was the capitale from the new pass so it's not nearly as bad as this guy's case but it was still annoying because I lost out on the money.

I messaged Rockstar support right before Tuners came out to tell them I was missing my Shiny Wasabi Kitty Claw trophy in my arcade as well as my oversized glasses I was supposed to get. They gave me my glasses right away but still haven't delivered on my trophy. It's been 5 days and I messaged again them this morning, and still haven't heard from them tonight. My friend hasn't received his glasses either despite the fact they told him he would probably have it around the 23rd. I also submitted a ticket a little after frontier pursuits came out about issues I was having with my control scheme, and after around 3 messages they told me that my issue was intentional and I was out of luck.

My god, RDR online is a real mess right now, this one time I was doing the mission where you steal a wagon for the railroad, and even though I hid the bodies, the mission wouldn't continue, and I can't ever find capitale without guides. I really want there to still be hope for this game and finally get good support and updates for the game.

I feel for you man I spend a lot of time looking for friendly sessions for me to grind in and there's always some scumbag griefer who goes out of their way to ruin it. Honestly I feel you, I had few issues with them, few bugs in the games like the Independence item glitch where your beer hats, vehicle mods and such disappear even though you go them on last gen, I still have a problem with them, it is the Independence mods for my cars, they only show up on the cars I bought them on and not available for them all even though I bought them, don't say that you have buy them for each car for them because I remembered that they say when you buy them they'll be available for you permanently, well thats half true, but maybe because I am a returning player and the issue is that I got them on last gen, but who knows and not me because I dunno if this is a problem or not, but it is for me, so yeah

I once got banned because of a hacker in gta online, a hacker came into the lobby and there was a bright pink yatch flying across the sky, i was with a friend at the time and we screenshotted the whole thing, which lasted like a minute or so, I got killed and then, after some seconds, I got banned and lost all my progress. I opened some support tickets, sent my screenshots and it was all in vain, they just said "welp it must be something you've done" or something like "We can't give you anything since we deleted all the data", I was a very high lvl back then and now i barely even touch the game.

its like this everytime i submit a ticket for gta as well. They dont read the ticket they post copy and pasted answers. you have to argue with them in order to get someone who has a brain
