My parents just had to give me space to see things of my own free will, but everyone is different. GOD is more merciful than you can imagine. He knows you try and that's all we can do... he holds all power and knowledge. So pray to GOD for your children. I'm sure you do. Drsauce I so agree! Been saying this for years that the family unit, with one father and one mother is literally more powerful than any ruling Government. Now, culture mocks marriage while supporting single parent families, which ultimately will lead to poverty and Government assistance. Ms/Mr Riahi I hope my advice helps, please if you haven't yet, try to: 1. Have an honest talk to her, heart to heart, ask her why she left the faith, ask specifics reasons why. But do it in a respectful and sympathetic way, do not push her to your own beliefs back. Then research her answers, then give her your answers but also in a respectful and sympathetic way. 2. Convince her that she shouldn't be brash, she should take time and consideration in her decision, as she is still young and the youth can still be fickle at this age, this could just be a phase and will pass away. Maybe she just want to act on her own. But also try to be respectful when conveying this as any force will only increase her resolve. 3. Tell her that no matter what you are happy that she is choosing for her own self that you believe in her intellect. Though tell her why you disagree in her beliefs, but her. Tell her it is her belief that you hate not her, tell her the morality of her situation. Ps. This is coming from a devout 19 year old Catholic, I used to struggle with myself and my faith before but thanks to God's own intervention He helped me believe in Him 100% and the Church. I hope my insights of my past struggles and near relative age to your daughter will help you understand the way we think and hope it will help you save her soul.
