@@oldworldpatriot8920 Hah, yeah, I saw 'em do that opener in Albuquerque, and then the next day was like, "I need to drive to El Paso to see them as the headliner" and it was **so** worth it. :D Big arena with 20,000 people was OK, but a tiny club with 1,000 people who were all there specifically to see The Hu was totally amazing.

You are So right!!! I tried to mention who I got turned on to da Hu by and I was grateful for that. They just took his name off and changed it to “someone“. Not fair and I pay my premium cost, two dollars sort of twenty not a whole lot but maybe we should just pay the artist instead. I wonder who gets what when I die. I paid for that play list but I don’t think it’s mine but I think it should be. 😂 I’m a bit guilty cause back in the old days I was a music pirate from Napster but I worked hard to get a decent music list, you had to listen to all the uploads to get a perfect cut to download. Then lost it all to U Tube I would have paid for my music if they asked. I also had a Bose cd payer I bought lots of music all Yanni, enigma, enya, Queen, Vangellis.

Those who want to know the meaning of this song's libretto: This is about how a Western Mongolian Khan lead his troops to fight off the Manchu-Chinese colonizers in the 17 century! He was successful and defeated a large Manchu-Chinese army (200 thousand soldiers) with his own army of 80 thousand Western Mongolian soldiers. Those who are in red Manchu hats and dress are the Manchu soldiers!

Wrong actually. The song is about Segeenii Danjila, the great general of the Dzungar Khanate and the right hand man of Galdan Boshigt Khan. He didn't die like the video shows (video is historically incorrect) he defected to the Manchus after Galdan's death due to his successor Tseveenravdan purging all Galdan loyalists. Same here. I love The Hu, but Serj's name was the main reason I selected this song first, so I was sitting here just kinda listening for him to come in, then BAM! You hear his voice cut right through, all the way to the hair follicles on the back of your neck. It never really occurred to me before this, but the sound of Serj's voice is _such_ a perfect complement to The Hu's sound. He _really_ needs to collab with them more. An entire album together other guest features on a few songs would be my dream album right now

I wouldn't be surprised to find Serj did that on purpose, to use his name to attract a wider audience but let the focus stay on the band. I have no evidence to back this up, but by all accounts Serj is actually a genuinely good dude, so it wouldn't shock me.

As a resulting hearing Serj's chant at the end of the song gives me the urge to finish some of those stories and flesh out the lore of two rivaling races of elves I created in high school. As a result I'm like:"Nah, on second thought Serj being DL's backing vocals, his spoken line and chant is enough for me."

I've loved this band since the first time I heard them about 8 yrs ago. At first I couldn't understand then I had the lyrics translated. The thing I love the most is the songs have meaning. Some are of war, family, and even their mother's. But they all have a very deep meaning

I absolutely am amazed by your performance and wish you all the best. Over 8 years ago on Asia's Got Talent Khusugtun introduced the rest of the world Mogolian throat singing, I was in awe with their signing skills and also saddened that my fellow countrymen laughed or were weirded out by the Khusugtun's performance. I am a church choir singer and a member of a smaller local tribe in the Philippines, so I partly understand the difficulty and dedication placed into voicing and singing parts for a song and I appreciate how you have made something "tribal" survive into the present day.

Relishing in their heritage, The Hu brings to the world their culture, heritage and baser instinct sounds of pride and strength. All can recognize this instantly, fully and with serious respect. To collaborate with another culture, language and style to press their message further is admirable and honorable. This song,.. to me,.. is a war cry to defend one's home, family, people, culture and existence. As an old school American,.. I say thank you for your strength, The HU. I'm 61 years old and love this group! For two years now.
